Solid with the phrase "I feel asleep!" beside him should be a huge advantage in his favor... ...oh, wait a minute, nevermind. More seriously, perhaps a SSBM picture could be used like the SSBB-picture? Have Solid from SSBB, Young Link from SSBM, Cloud could have a battle-model, and...how does Crono look from Chrono Cross? Probably going to make one of Snake in the box and everyone looking around for him. Or would that KO his casual badass appeal? In all honesty he really isn't going to compete, and I would personally mark out ever so much if you did that. Alternatively you could have an "action" shot of each character (Link charging his spin attack, Crono using Luminaire, Snake running around in a box, Cloud uh thinking), and then a more "normal" portrait of them to go with it. No need to pull a Frog, Snake; just close the deal! Anyway, no
matter how this ends, Mario and Samus are not really on notice. Boosted
Snake is looking like he can make a run at 60% against the two
bottom-feeders of the Noble Nine. We'll see how Snake does against Crono tomorrow, but I doubt he breaks 60% on him.. I can see Snake/Crono going anywhere from Crono winning by a small
amount to Snake slaughtering him. A finals match with Link and Cloud in
it isn't a very good place to gauge the strengths of the other

Cloud's ASV trend today has been to make some scary looking cuts with
the ASV, then just die and let Snake take it all back and then some.

In all seriousness, I'd say red sox probably hit it on the mark when he
postulated that the early FF7 voters were potentially rallying en masse
to Cloud because they knew Seph was a lost cause. As we moved farther
from the start of the match and into the more "casual" voting blocks,
though, we end up getting more and more FF7 voters sticking with Seph
because they don't know any better, so it ends up blunting what is
usually Cloud's inevitable rise to heaven. I'd also probably throw in that Snake is getting a lot of anti-Cloud votes that were going to Cube last time around thus he's stronger than 43% on Cloud but that's just me anyway try not to lose too many more updates like that Snake --- turnturnturn your brain in turnturnturn your brain in |

If Link got 40%, that would be arguably the most vicious performance in
contest history. It would mean that he's either approaching 60% on
Cloud or nearly tripling the other two (he's very likely to triple

I actually think Snake has a shot tomorrow simply because...well, it's
this contest. It's like a .01% shot though; Link has looked stronger

If Link is riding high and Snake also takes advantage of his stand-out

meh, Sephiroth has always had an awful
early vote. the worst in contest history. I don't think this is
anything other than Sephiroth having his usual awful trends. go check
the battle royale if you want proof of this. honestly, he isn't even doing that badly.. I think I'm within 1% of predicting him right. it's Cloud that's kinda sucking, but even that's not THAT bad. we all expected this to be fairly close.
