Mario levels? I do think Crono would get closer to Mario than last time
this year, but that's mostly because of Mario Deboosting. Crono beat

Ryu did about as well as he was expected to, and Ammy impressed that
day. Dante/Leon may have looked like substantial LFF last year, but
Pikachu has sort of vindicated his performance there. He went from losing to Leon by 5% to beating him into the ground, along with the stronger Dante, just because he was against 3 Capcom characters. --- I want adventure in the great wide somewhere... I wouldn't take Zelda over Mega Man, but Sonic looks primed to fall. If
he's so entrenched with Nintendo as to lose to Kirby in any format,
then I think Zelda would have a shot. She would have probably wrecked
him yesterday, and while 1v1 would indeed be a tougher challenge, I

Actually I kind of forgot about X/Zelda/Kip. I won't bother trying to
argue the point, because it's not important to my point, and hell it's

You can blame it on the three Capcom characters if you want to, but
Pikachu can't be explained. He had absolutely no reason to beat L-Block
based on anything. but to deny Samus and Yoshi overlapping is like denying Squall/Sora last year. Well, you can look at Mega Man/KOS-MOS/Yoshi/Knux in round 2, if you want to. Well, yeah. There was a witch hunt for Crono last year after he lost to
Vincent. The only reason there isn't one for MM this year is because of

Woah, woah, woah. I've always been a huge supporter of Sora and GF, but
in a 1 on 1 setting I highly doubt Sora beats Sonic. Gordon I wouldn't

Let's not get carried away here. Let's remember that Gordon Freeman
still lost to Scorpion in round 1, and Sonic has at least been able to

This match today feels so good after 2 years of Crono's strength and
future potential being insulted. Now you just have to beat Snake in the
finals, Crono! Just watch Link SFF away his Brawl fanbase and Cloud

Problem with Sora is that the KH team is dragging their heels like
crazy. KHII had a full conclusion, and while a sequel will come it'll
be because it's, at this point, a cash cow franchise. The KH team
probably doesn't want to make another sequel that much, so they're

After KHIII, Sora's got a realistic shot, I'd say, depending on how

It's not delusional; Cloud was less than 100 votes away from doubling
Snake in last year's final. I figure the reason Snake did so poorly was
either Link, Cloud, L-Block, or some combination of the above. I'm
fairly certain Link had some role in it because Samus beat Sephiroth
with Cloud in the poll too, and by more than Snake in fact, and while I
know Cloud SFF'd Seph harder that time, Link also SFF'd Samus down to

Also, BT, are you so delusional that the idea that Mega Man dropped has
not crossed your mind? Zero had to struggle to put away Vivi, a sure
sign that he has to have dropped. For Mega Man to NOT have dropped as
well is wishful thinking. After all, TIDUS improved on him from their

This year has probably been Square's best year since 2003, so it
doesn't surprise me that Tidus looked half-decent for once. As for
Zero, I have a hard time explaining that one, but that's mainly because
we have no idea where Hayabusa really sits. Vivi was never too far from
Zero in the first place, and once again, Square has looked great this

Uh, boosts based on games don't just disappear after a while. Having a
game come out half a year before a contest is pretty much as good as it
gets short of having a game come out during a contest, and it certainly
beats having your only game come out 13 years ago and 3 console

I'm going to be skeptical of CTDS until I see how it sells and if it
generates any longer lasting interest here. By the time it would
matter, it'll be pushing a year old - this is for a port that most of
this site is in some way familiar with already. With something like
CTDS, I'd figure that it's more important to get new fans instead of
reinforcing old ones who already consider it one of their favorite
games - the latter being the group I figure is most likely to be buying
