Looking at next round, I still like Cloud over Snake. If Cloud + Seph
can do just 5% better on Snake than what Cloud did alone, then Cloud
needs just 61.68% of Cloud/Sephiroth votes to tie Snake, about 3% lower

This is great.....Kirby's lead on Sonic will be greater than Sonic's

And I think that Sonic characters suck in the 4-way format because of
character design, as Ngamer said once. Knuckles, Sonic, and Shadow (to
an extent) all look cool, which against boring competition, gets them
apathy votes. When there are other cool options, however, they usually

to Vincent or Squall, or do you tempt a bigger upset with someone lower

Put him against Vincent or Squall in round 2 or 3, giving
Vincent/Squall an opportunity first to collapse under the weight of the
Curse of the Noble Nine Breakers. Then let's see if Sonic can pull off

This isn't Sonic turning into Pac or Crash...I think it's just showing
Sonic's hardcore base is actually really freakin small. Seph and Kirby
have to be bothering his casual/Nintendo base to allow for THIS. I wouldn't be so quick to say lol Sonic in a 1v1 match, but I'm pretty sure now he's fallen a bit. --- This is not my GameFOX sig... Therefore, it doesn't exist! |

lower on the ladder? I'd say put them in Round 3, and in Round 2, have Sonic face someone who's clearly under Vincent/Squall, but going to give Sonic a run for his money allowing for upset trains to take off (and derail whoops) --- This is not my GameFOX sig... Therefore, it doesn't exist! |

Gotta put Sonic through a whole damn gauntlet of people like Auron,
Dante, Squall and Vincent, then if he makes it through that you can put

Sonic wouldn't do nearly as good 1-on-1 as people are going to believe
after seeing this, but losing to Vincent/Auron/Squall would be a great

Sonic does seem down a bit, but I'd still put megaman under him. With
these vote totals, I'd pick Crono > Sonic perhaps. I'd like to see
Vincent vs Mega Man. --- Nominate Red XIII for the Character Battle VII! He's the Lion with a fire tail from Final Fantasy VII. |

It's still tough to see Dante pulling something like that off in a 1v1.
I'd personally love to see Sonic/Tifa in Round 2 with the winner going
up against... Squall or Auron, perhaps? If Bacon is going to let us
make all the pictures, there's no way Tifa would find herself in such

| How about Ryu or Master Chief? Maybe even the lead characters from the two versions of FF13 in a round 1 or 2 bout. We probably won't see a character contest next year (it has to be a game one) unless we're going to get a contest each for summer and fall so there should be plenty of time for those characters to appear. |
