Yea. You get 1 small vote cut from Snake. aka voting irregularity in a
massive pool of 50 vote gains by cloud. And again, cloud returns to

27 people fell off the Top 50 today. halloweeneon, PIaystation,

| Cloud is still going to do what he has done this
whole contest and dominate all day long... Snake doesn't have the juice
to beat Cloud head on, probably never will. With Sephy in the poll

As for Sonic... I'm not going to buy his second place finish as
confirmed just yet. He has looked horrid all contest long. If Auron can
stomp him (without a stronger FF character in the poll) the way he did,
what would stop Dante or Kirby from beating him? Arguably, Kirby will
be sharing some of Sonic's fanbase. Dante will obviously be weakened by
Sephy, but eh. We'll see. --- :> |

I'm not completely counting it out, but I just don't think Kirby has
much of a chance. I wrote this in another topic, but remember, Kirby
didn't beat Master Chief by all that much in round 2, meaning his big
win in round 3 was probably due to dante/leon lff. I mean, he went from
beating MC by 1500 to 8500. Dante, I think has a better shot, but
seeing as he is more popular than his games, I think his design is a
big part of his popularity. If that is the case, Sephy should really

Just got back home, and remembered about the contest (surprisingly I
forgot about it all night, which is not what I expected when I was
leaving, I figured I would keep wanting to check the score, but I just
plum forgot about the match). Crono won! Hurray! ...but just from looking at the updates, it looks shady as hell. Hmm. I'm gonna have to go back and read the topic - or try anyway, for a close match like this there was probably a monsoon of posts! Sephiroth>Chief next match, but anyway...). Don't recall being in

It is odd that Magus is now the only one out of the three not to win
like this. Guess he isn't as beloved by whatever individual(s) are
doing the stuffing. I'll save you the trouble - it was the exact same as the Frog match last year. your opinion of the match probably depends on who you wanted to win. I wouldn't think so - I really wanted Crono to win, but looking at it, it's pretty clear. 39% update - that was some serious Force Lightning, Dark-Side-style right there! Funny that so many complains about cheating when Crono and Frog wins,
yet everyone where just "hurray Snake kicks ass, best thing ever
happened in these contests" when he won the exactly same way against

It really depends on your preference in character. When Frog does it?
Sure, I admit I celebrated. But I still know it's cheating, I still
realize there's no way in hell Frog should have won his matches. I'll
still acknowledge that yes, it was cheating and this contest just isn't

You know, conspiracy-wise, maybe it was Mario behind the cheating after all! He knew he has no chance next round, and he'd rather lose to a Noble Niner who he's lost to before, rather than lose to a non-NNer like Vincent. That would be more embarrassing for Mario. Also, he gets the side benefit of Crono's rep being stained now as that of a cheater! He turns Crono into an outlaw, just him Mario himself is. So it's clear now - Crono is innocent. It is the Mario conspiracy that helped Crono get the win here while simultaneously framing him for cheating, for their own wicked and devious purposes. --- Save_Us.RAT BREAK THE BLOCK DOWN |

I'll admit, I basically only really care when it influences a character
I want to win. But I'll still say "yeah that's a tainted win" Who cares
about Vincent though. But man, no matter how you feel about the legitimacy of Crono's win, this contest SORELY needed an ending like that. Jeez. No No No. If you look closely, the real culprit is Samus. Think about it. Who was there when Frog defeated Axel? Samus! Who was here when Crono defeated Vincent? Samus! She is the one constant in all of this. You'll notice there was no comeback when Vincent faced Crono last year, or when Magus lost to Sandbag. Hell, Master Chief sorta looks like Samus and he lost by seven votes to Frog. As for why? Samus is just a hardcore Chrono Trigger fan! --- Donkey Kong Country 2 for next Games contest. I'm not sold tjhat Crono wins over Mario. Most of Crono's fans (If not
all) are those who loved SNES. We blamed Link for hurting Crono last
year, now it's the four strongest SNES characters in the same poll,

Much as I'd like to agree with you, the day is far from over. I mean we all thought Vincent would win with only 2 hours remaining, but Crono got just enough votes to secure his position in the Semis. damn, i just realised that to win the guru i need cloud to beat snake when sephiroth's around,ouch. not only that but looks like there will be massive SNES SFF with crono and mario meaning i might as flip a coin,then sonic must not choke against Dante and kirby. urgh,my picks aren't bad per say,but they are far from guaranteed,i say I got 20% chance of getting perfect from here on but Snake's here to crush the party. --- Del Boy:He who dares, wins! |
