Some Common Stat Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote, because the Zelda fanbase so clearly sided with him. However, take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make total sense. This has caused a few SFF jokes, with LordOfDabu's "Some Frivolous Factor" being the funniest of them. X-Stats - Short form of Extrapolated Statistics, aka the mathematical "strength" of a contestant that can be determined based on their performance in any given matchup. See above for a detailed explanation of the x-stat process. rSFF (Reverse Same Fanbase Factor): An unproven theory that states that an SFF match will feature the expected weaker character receiving more benefit from SFF than the stronger character. For example, all evidence supports Samus being indirectly stronger than Mario, yet Mario blew Samus away during their 2005 match. That's rSFF in action, and the one case we have of the weaker statistical character winning with it. For other information, surf the contest sites a bit. They have everything. |

As a huge Crono fan, I've gotta say I'm feel VERY good about this match
right now. Crono is stalling (and like Noob just said, technically WON)
the last hour, and that was the last hour Vincent really dominated in
the last match. He started to really slow down 8 PM on and even gave up
quite a few Crono cuts, so Cronos best time is over and Crono is within

what 30 minutes? CT has a great last hour. I mean could Crono take back

The ASV is over now. Crono has weathered it and lost only 400 votes.
Now, we are gradually transitioning into the second night vote, which

Looks like Samus and Vincent are advancing to face Link and Mario in
the Semis. And I think either Link or Vincent will advance to the
finals, and face either Kirby or Cube. Gotta say, I'm quite surprised Vincent got enough votes in the last few hours to take the lead over Crono...but then again you got n00bs and yaoi fanboys drooling over that Dracula wannabe, so I guess anything goes. --- 90% of teens today would die if myspace.com was completely destroyed. | Last hour is where I'd expect Crono to do the most
gaining against Vincent, although he may just tie this up before then.
Or he may be unable to do better than 50-50 through the end of the
match. Crono's rally potential in the final hour is probably as high as
300, although I would doubt very much his ability to come back if he is
