He would have to nearly lose to Auron. Auron wasn't far behind Ryu with
Cloud in the match last year, and Sephiroth will SFF Auron a bit less.
I don't think Dante smokes Ryu, either, so...yeah, if Sonic can't beat
Auron by at least 2% tomorrow then Dante could be a serious threat... ...then again, I also don't think I'd take Sephiroth > Dante at all since I think Sephiroth will bother Dante. Kirby will also bother Sonic though...you know, I don't know what exactly happens with Seph/Kirby in the poll. Still, indirectly, Sonic's is real danger if he can't put Auron away tomorrow. There are no excuses with Sandbag now, Sephiroth will hurt Auron, and Sonic frankly needs to impress since Dante has. --- NRT winners: Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow, Star Fox 64, Donkey Kong Country 2 Remember these games! |

We really need to bring back the 1v1 format for the sake of my damned
sanity. I'm starting to have trouble envisioning people voting for

Oh...and if Sonic/Dante end up duking it out next round, I expect Kirby to steal second place. Whoa, can't see that happening. Dante > Sonic is more likely than Kirby > Sonic, I think. Not that I'd be opposed to Kirby getting second somehow. I just don't think he's strong. And I just realized that this will be the first time Kirby will EVER face a Noble Niner. We're looking at history here! Seriously though, how does someone as strong as Kirby go this long without ever facing one? I don't know if there's anyone else who's been in every contest that this applies to. Let me check... Nope.
