People are seriously entertaining the idea of Dante sneaking into
second next round with the original silver-haired badass breathing down
his neck? Sonic could have Knuckles tagging along in that match and I'd

and suddenly, a Dante/Chief match is unquestionable? Nah. Yep. I agree with Leon here - Dante/Chief was never a question 1-on-1. Last year had been argued since pre-contest to be format; I don't think anyone believed we would have seen thta same Chief in a normal contest. Now it's looking more like the result of Halo 3 hype than anything, which also makes some sense. I gave Mewtwo his round 2 value on Cloud here because it's pretty
obvious he was benefiting from triple Square SFF, far more so than any
Nintendo LFF he may have had with Midna last round. Due to having no
fixed point of reference by which to adjust Squall's half of the
division, this is what you get. Looks like Squall could've still
advanced had it been Yoshi/Mewtwo instead, but that's just random
speculation at this point. These stats are pretty much worthless. I think the stats can look more legit than this from Mewtwo's side; what happens if you based Mewtwo off of his R1-match against Pac-Man and how Pac-Man did against Cloud in R2? I think people can overlook what little bit Ness did or didn't do to Mewtwo in R1 for that if it looks decent enough. No, cuz MC would just blow him out due to Xbox SFF. Don't forget last year's GotY: CoD4 smoked Halo 3...and you can't fully fault the PS3 either since its ownership was so low pre-MGS4. Lower-tier? Ryu beat Zero who beat Vivi the next round, and each are
solid contenders. In fact, Vivi has blown out DK before who barely lost

But of legit characters, I can't think of any that went from being within 2% of Solid Snake to this. Hey there, Magus! Yeah, I know he was just overrated all along, but still...No one's had a harder fall than he has. And if you remove Dante, I'd say Leon's got a great shot at Kirby. Forget just Master Chief. I still can't get over how well he did in round 1, and that 10% win over Pikachu last year seems to look better every round. I think the stats can look more legit than this from Mewtwo's side; what happens if you based Mewtwo off of his R1-match against Pac-Man and how Pac-Man did against Cloud in R2? Ah, good idea. Let's see... Mewtwo goes up about 1.5% on his value from Cloud in round 2 to around 25.5% (it was about 24% before). For all the poor choices that the GameFAQs voterbase consistently
makes, the fact that they CONSTANTLY **** all over Master Chief gives
me a small glimmer of hope that they will one day round a corner. This
victory is not just for Kirby and Dante, it's a victory for people who

I don't know what to think of Hayabusa. He looks great when at least
two of the opponents are fodder, but then folds in the face of Snake.
I'd like to see him in a four way with say, Samus, just to see if it's
Snake in particular or if he would fold in the face of any strength. --- Should I start running now? |

The reasoning for the four-way wasn't so much about Hayabusa trying to
beat MC, by the way, but whether or not MC/Hayabusa would LFF each
