Samus couldn't even really complain about her pictures against Zelda -
she looked downright fantastic in every one. Zelda just worked the SFF
entirely to her advantage, straight up. And she'd do it again, easily. Now maybe that's not so bad looking at how well she held up to Mario this year, but it does belie vulnerability. How well Samus does with SFF depends on which Samus shows up to the match - it's not like only Mario can magically SFF her. --- turnturnturn your brain in turnturnturn your brain in |

Zelda is damn good at holding up to SFF (outside of Link, but gAnon
completly folded to him too). I can't think of any other non noble nine

I will say this though -- Midna over Ike isn't exactly crazy, and
they both struggled to put away their opponents there -- Mewtwo moreso
than Pikachu, but Midna could (should?) also be stronger and comes from
a much more popular series. one thing we've learned is that you do not

For what it's worth...maybe the SFF'd and the SFF'ers aren't the same
for four-ways. We've seen Samus/Ganon both one-on-one and in four-ways
(twice!), Mega/Zero in each, Crono/Vincent, and maybe some others. Some
things have changed since then, some things haven't...but maybe our

Considering the disparity of performances we can see with SFF between rounds - Samus/Ganon, Sephiroth/Tifa - I think we can safely say we can't draw too many conclusions from any given four-way match. This is also why I really anticipate a 1v1 contest. I think it would surprise us in ways that people aren't expecting. --- turnturnturn your brain in turnturnturn your brain in |

Samus has certainly seemed SFF-proof in fourways - more resistant to
Link than Sephiroth, only slightly phased by Ganondorf twice. it's why
I cautiously entertain the idea of Samus beating Mario in the

I'd take Samus over Mario in the semis in a heartbeat (that is, if I
didn't have Zack already there), but the Battle Royale gives me pause.
I'm of the opinion that was the strongest Link we've ever seen and it

At this point I think drawing anything from any 4-way match is shaky at best. I mean, Ike almost beats Ryu in a 1 on 1 match based on completely legitimate results. How the hell am I supposed to take 4-ways seriously after that? --- Bracket: http://thengamer.com/guru/bracket.php?id=10 |

That just means we should do what we should have always done: take the

I thought Samus had ZSS pics against Zelda for some reason. Whoops. oh well blame it on the name Zelda, her holding up well against SFF (whoo Mario), and uh female bracket factor (like ganon/bowser overperforming against Seph). all is still right with the world --- mmm test icicles |

Sora needs about 22 votes/5 minutes to come back, and he's been getting

Squall will probably improve in the last couple hours, Sora really only
has til 10, meaning he'll need like 33 per update to tie. Which he

I think Sora's gonna make it close enough that I'd still take Auron
> Sora in that 4-way that's been tossed around forever now. Sora's the most independent of the FF fanbase imo, and I honestly believe Mewtwo's presence here is hurting him more than it is either Cloud or Squall. As much as I hate 4-ways, I'd love to see that match go down. --- mmm test icicles |
