It's not just your rallying, it's the fact that the match was close.
Lots of people were watching. The first example I can think of is
FFVII/OOT. It was right after CT/LTTP, and started out with massive
votals (even though it had been clear CT was going to win for a couple

| This is just a case of over saturation of Square.
Square can't hit much over 70% unless the opponent is just that weak, I
guess. Same reason Mario was apparently hurt slightly more by Mudkip
and Zelda than Luigi. Doubt Zelda or kip alone could come close to the

mean, weren't people calling Magus a Noble 9 breaker back when he got
~35% on Link? Now Mewtwo's getting ~30% on Cloud and Squall AND Sora - who is at least as cartoony - and the general consensus is "meh"? It boggles the mind! |
