I cannot believe that Pikachu might actually pull this off. I never even CONSIDERED this as a legit possibility. When people started bringing it up as some desperate way of bouncing L-Block from the contest, I was like "...what?" It just came from left-field to me. I was blindsided by the talk. And seeing more people talking about it, I was like, "Wow, these people are borderline nuts/desperate". Sprite Pikachu was the only way I could see it happening (as I no longer believed in Dante/Leon LFF, and think it was just old-school Pika nostalgia in that match). But that Pikachu might actually pull this off...WOW. Un-friggin'-real. I actually voted for the rat for the first time ever in this match. Never, *ever* thought I'd vote for the rat in one of these things. But lo and behold, unless it somehow blows this, it's going to make the anti-L community's dreams come true! I've just gotta believe people are sick of L Block. His static
percentage is non existant here. If he was his normal static self, he'd

Eh, disagree with you about there not being alot of hold overs from 6
years ago, Zenith. Keep in mind that for Pika's pathetic show against
PaRappa back in '02 the entire match drew only 56,000 votes. I'd be
willing to bet that a goodly number of those voters are still around
today as you and I are, but it's more a matter of us being so
overwhelmed by the new fanbase the site has attracted since then that

well,back to normal between Crono and Pikachu and L block is dead. even if it somehow takes the lead (doubtful) its already too late for it to build enough to not be obliterated by the day vote. |

| It's hard for me to imagine Pikachu is going to
hurt Samus more than Ganon. Consider this: Ganon beat Luigi by 3% with
normal pics and Luigi only beat Ganon by 1% despite sprite pics.
Through this, let's say Ganon's just a touch better than Luigi. Then
think about Luigi beating Pikachu by, what, 5% or so last year? Throw
in that Samus remained unphased by Ganon and might have even SFF'd him,
and that doesn't convince me Pikachu will match or outdo Ganon. Pika
will hurt Samus some, but don't look for Pikachu to do well against

Pikachu will cause Samus some problems, but it won't be anything
significant, not to the point where she doesn't come in first, I don't

Samus/Crono/Vincent/Pikachu...and we know that Pikachu's pretty decent standing up to SFF. He surely shouldn't be Ganon with it. So Pikachu is very probably going to LFF Samus. (*if* he makes it there - which barring an unexpected collapse he should) That makes Crono/Vincent only that much more epic! Though I wonder, we all say how old Square/new Square don't overlap, and I've said it too...but in a 4-way, might they LFF each other slightly anyway? In the Link/Crono/Vincent/Zero match, Crono and Vincent looked bad compared to Link.
