I forgot about Zero. good point. I think there's a certain point where you're just out of your league, though. we saw it with Liquid a couple days ago, and I think Zero was out of his league when playing with Crono and Vincent there. it's why I think Vincent will lose to Mario - yeah, there's overlap, but I don't think enough people like Vincent more than Mario, Link or Samus. --- xyzzy http://img.imgcake.com/samusvsganondorfvsvincentvsgordon.jpg |

Actually, looking at Crono/Zero round 2 and Vincent/Zelda round 1,
Vincent ought to have destroyed Crono....I don't see any way out-
Crono's round 2 performance last year was incredibly bad and

If anything, this match is making me feel better about Vincent > Crono. Crono just looks plain bad here (30% with Samus/Ganon/Gordon and 30% with L/Pika/Alucard). Yeah, the match is weird, but I can't help but feel even better with Vincent advancing. --- This is not my GameFOX sig... Therefore, it doesn't exist! |

I wouldn't use the BR as proof of much. it's a six-way with three other
non-Nintendo guys, and we saw far flukier results last year. All part of the plan. And given how badly Mario/Luigi beat Zero, Link beat Mega man and Mega Man beat Yoshi, it's no surprise that Link being added to the poll made Zero lose 10% on Crono. --- I want adventure in the great wide somewhere... Man, I am so confused by this match. This is what I expected to see from Crono/Ryu/L/Ammy...instead, we have Pikachu attempting to cut Crono, L going down without a fight and yet trying to win the day vote, and Alucard completely collapsing. It's pretty awesome, though, since now we get Crono/Vincent and Samus could be in play if the rat hurts her enough, and the winner vs Mario with Link involved. Two good matches that L would have simply SFF'd his way through. (And who wants to talk deboost when Pikachu beat Crono for an entire hour) --- Mustache...and green... |

Pikachu over L-Block ... yeah, I can't see how anyone could argue that
isn't the best thing ever unless you're a raging L-Blockboy. Never did

Hm, you probably meant Ryu (SF)... I've like totally forgotten he exists honestly. Was thinking Hayabusa >_> I still believe Ryu is a top 25 character despite Pikachu being the one able to take down L-Block and one on one I still believe he'd beat out Pika. But in that fourpack... probably... Pikachu > Ryu I'm not buying on Leon to take down these two just yet. --- :> |

yeah this contest has been pretty boring. last year we had some AWESOME
L-Block opening votes and the whole uniqueness of the format - now even
L-Block matches are dull. this was interesting for the first hour but

I guess you have to ask yourself do you believe in this obviously crazy
match or do you believe in all the the other times Pika looked
respectable but not near elite.
Yeah that's a good fourpack though the only thing I would say with
certainty is that an unhindered Leon should still be above Pikachu. --- Should I start running now? |

an unhindered Leon should still be above Pikachu. Unhindered? UNHINDERED?! Pika > Ryu is based on expected SFF with Ryu/Leon/Zero. It isn't
highly evident and I hate to argue fishy SFF scenarios without proper
reason, but... yeah. I just think Pika is highly unhindered here and
would win by a small margin over Ryu, with Leon not far back. Zero
would finish in a fairly distant last. --- :> |

...why is L-Block even contesting with Pikachu right now? I know
Pikachu is still gaining, but I honestly don't trust the L-Block for
even a second in this match. Word getting out through the internet like
last year is still somewhat of a threat; L-Block arguably got like
40,000 votes rallied last year against Link/Cloud/Solid for a
championship...so something like stealing a 2,300 lead from Pikachu in
R3 is not impossible by any means. That's the paranoid side of me though. I just don't like seeing Pikachu struggle with L in daylight hours. Master Chief > Pikachu on that second one. I still think Kirby is stronger than Pikachu in this and all formats. Pikachu has just had more of a chance to make waves. I seriously doubt Kirby would be winning here. Pikachu is just special;

I'll be impressed if WCC fails. WCC was 0.05% away last round from
matching what Zero did to MM in 2k4. MM's not looked as sharp since
then, nor has Zero...then throw in that they will hurt each other and
Tidus would suggest WCC's fanbase is rather static in comparison to

One on one I think Pika takes that. It seems like a question of whether
L's status as a joke character counteracts Pika's status as a character

The joke of L-Block seems clearly dead and buried. Before this match, I
had thought that L-Block/Master Chief would be one of the coolest 1v1
matches ever. Now, there's no point in putting block up against anyone

Why does noone listen to me when I say Pikachu doesn't get "anti-voted" anymore?
