Yeah plus Seifer also made it into Kingdom Hearts 2 (although that game

other representatives. Sub's a bit different, but even then there were

At the very least, another character deserves ONE chance! Personally, I'd rather Laguna got in over Seifer because I think he's much more likable, but it doesn't matter! Oh and I'm gonna be rallying hard to get illidan in next year. For
years Warcraft fans have debated if Arthas or Illy is the best Warcraft
character, and he's nearly as popular or as popular as Arthas to the

FFVIII is absolute turd, but so is the rest of the series. Seems only
'fair' that it gets another rep. Especially when IV got a few...and the
main character of that game got tripled by Kirby. --- JUSTICE FOR FD I use to worry about a McCain presidency but after playing some Fallout 3 I feel I could survive well enough. - ISS |

I don't have a problem with Rinoa, and I think, overall, the hate

Thats the thing, Angelo's limits were terrible for me. I used a team of Squall, Zell, and (god forbid) Quistis. Match LI: Samus Aran vs. Ganondorf vs. Vincent Valentine vs. Gordon Freeman Last Round: Samus Aran – 40.21% Ganondorf – 24.63% Frog – 19.93% Nightmare – 15.24% Just like last year Nightmare does well against weak competition yet folds to anyone with strength. Despite being held back Samus was still able to break 40% in this match though like Mario she wasn’t able to cause Ganondorf to look weaker, relatively speaking. Even though Frog was never in the match he was still able to look good against the weaker Samus and Ganondorf. Vincent Valentine – 40.05% Gordon Freeman – 24.49% Scorpion – 18.94% Falco Lombardi – 16.53% In a match that looked eerily similar to Samus’ match we see that Falco was the Nightmare in this group though at least he was able to look better. Also Scorpion went from beating Freeman to losing by a lot over the round, was the picture and the absence of another PC character the cause? Analysis: I don’t think people really understand how close this match will get; we could potentially have a fight for first and third at the same time. I guess people forget the effect LFF can have on two characters. Also note the percent the winners and runner-ups got against each other, so if one gets the upset the other will likely follow. The match for third will be between Ganondorf and Gordon Freeman. Naturally it is easily assumed that Ganondorf will walk all over Freeman however with Samus in the poll things will get interesting. Notice that Ganondorf while he won didn’t exactly crushed Frog like he was suppose to, well last year Scorpion defeated Frog and this year Freeman defeated Scorpion by more than Ganondorf defeated Frog so you can see how things are favouring him. On the other side of things it looked like Frog may have performed better this year compared to last year and the picture that Scorpion received last round probably caused Freeman to over perform. Still things don’t look great for Ganondorf which means things don’t look great for Samus either. The main attraction is Samus vs. Vincent. Normally Samus should have no problems in beating Vincent however like Ganondorf LFF is making this much more exciting. Since Samus has faced Frog in multiple occasions using him can give anything from a Samus win to a Vincent win, but this value will probably be the most accurate. Using what Frog got against Ganondorf in round 1 and Ganondorf against Samus either by using 2007 x-stats or the results of round 2, both are really similar and compare it to what Samus got against Frog in round 2 we see that regular Samus beats LFF Samus by about 58.5/41.5. We then use Vincent’s 2007 value which is about the average of his 2005 and 2006 values and the end result is a Vincent win by about 53/47. So for someone who was thought to be the favourite Samus now has an upward battle to fight. One thing is that it is really hard to work with fanbase overlap because one day fans could favour one character more than the other and the other day the reverse could be true. For Samus to win she’ll need fans to favour her more than Ganondorf compare to last round and hope random variation such as match picture and voter turnout support her more than Vincent. While Nintendo characters took a hard hit going from round 2 to round 3 (the number went from 21 to 9 compare to 35 to 21) many of the remaining characters are on this half of the bracket (7) and now is the time that you don’t want LFF affecting the result. Still both characters that were expected to advance are going to, but the order may be different though like we saw last year eventually someone who wasn’t suppose to advance is going to take advantage of LFF and do so. charmander6000’s Bracket: Samus > Vincent charmander6000’s Prediction: Vincent – 32.26%, Samus – 31.74%, Gordon – 18.16%, Ganondorf – 17.84% |
