I expect Samus to beat Ganon worse this round, possibly a lot worse, I
consider her the favorite for that reason. Also, I'm not so sure about
Scorpion/Falco being stronger than Frog/Nightmare....CT has looked
better this year, and I'd consider taking Frog over Scorpion 1v1,

Fine, fine, but I'm not trying to make ones like the swimming pool pic
(which I admit was pretty bad. Could have been good, though.) I haven't

Gimmicks are fine, as long as it doesn't take precedence over the
characters themselves. Last year's jeopardy pick was funny and the
characters were easily distinguishable. The pencil pic and the pool pic
are just... no. Don't do those anymore --- A refusal of praise is a desire to be praised twice. |

If there's one thing I've seen on this board and match pics is that
it never comes to a consensus except in very rare circumstances. Not really... in years past people generally agreed over what were the best pics when it came down to user made ones. And don't say we're the only one's complaining, I just went into the one pic topic on the first page and 100% of the people in it were saying the exact same things. --- all hail ec your lord and savior |

the best pics when it came down to user made ones. And don't say we're
the only one's complaining, I just went into the one pic topic on the
first page and 100% of the people in it were saying the exact same
things. Yeah, about entirely differing pics. 3 is ok, rest are 'blah' all accept the first one make me want to vomit The first three are all good, the last one is terrible. First one is prob the best. The rest pretty much fail. All of them are terrible. Why such a massive drop in quality compared to the first two matches? 3 and 4 are great. 1 is meh, 2 is terrible. I think the logical conclusion here is that if the pic maker likes it
and Bacon likes it then it's going to be submitted and accepted. Not
much we can do about it but try to make them look as good as possible,

And for the record, the only 'artistic' pic I made was today's book
pic, and pics like swimming pool and today's 2 shouldn't be made. I
even submitted a ton of normal pics for today's match (none of which

There's nothing wrong with a creative match pic as long as it doesn't
obscure the characters too much and the style doesn't take precedence
over the characters they're supposed to represent. 2 and 4 do that way
too much. KP's picture book one is fine because the characters are
clear and distinguishable. And Samus gets the short end of the stick in three out of four of those pics. Obviously, she's got ZSS, but in the third one she looks like she's getting shoved out of the pic and you can barely see her at all in the 4th one. Objectively, the first pic is the most balanced pic. Vincent's standard art is fine, but the thing is it looks a bit silly
to mix three 3D renders and one concept art. DoC Vincent is the only

There are good Vincent DoC renders...they just take time to find and
cut out. Much faster to just use the pre-rendered one, especially since

ZSS? Augh Samus is doomed. And I do expect Gordon to beat Ganon, or at
least I did before ZSS was revealed.....hopefully now that Brawl has
