Sonic stops the bleeding a bit on that update

With the help of the bracket voters. Once the rush of bracket voters wears off, which should be at least by the end of the Power Hour, Auron should at least hold the lead for a few more hours.

Yeah, but Crono and Mega Man have had crap fourpacks in the first round twice! Sonic's not gotten that either year!

Auron back to work!

Auron wouldn't beat Crono in this format or normally. And he certainly wouldn't be ahead of Crono during the power hour.

This really isn't that impressive for Auron so far. I can't believe more people weren't on Auron > Sonic before this contest. Sonic's just looked absolutely putrid, while Auron's been beasting the last couple years. Auron has a good shot at MM if he's in Sonic's place instead, but Crono escapes with victory.

And Subz pulling away more!

Assuming Sub-Zero doesn't have a massive lead (over 1000) over Sandbag by the ASV, Sandbag has a shot at making a comeback. The Mortal Kombat ASV isn't too great though.

Mega Man's fourpack last year easily beats out Sonic's fourpack last year, unless you think Sub-Zero is a NN breaker.

This is now all about Sub-Zero kicking the crap/CDs out of the most worthless entrant in any of these contests.

I wasn't aware there was a Tales character in this match.

The Mortal Kombat ASV isn't too great though.

Can't be worse than Magus's. Mortal Kombat actually performs at relatively the same level throughout the whole match.

Auron keeps pulling away!

And as much as FFX sucks, this result makes me happy. Finally Sonic pays for putting out terrible games for the last 15 years.

Okay, where did this come from? Where did this come from?? I swear I'd never heard that term until like last month and now it's freaking everywhere, especially on Gamefaqs.

Most of us had Magus instead of Sandbag here. Even for people like myself that thought Auron > Sonic was a sexy upset, Magus was enough to scare people off. Once Sandbag passed (or, for some, once Magus lost), even before seeing what Auron could do, it was a lot easier to buy the upset.

Auron is probably only winning because of Sandbag. 1v1, Auron probably gets 48 or 49% on Sonic.

Can't be worse than Magus's.

It's not nearly as bad as Magus's ASV, since it was easy for him to blow a 2000+ vote lead. So that's why I'll say that at best, Sandbag could come back from a 1000 vote lead. Any higher, and I doubt Sandbag makes a successful come back.

Most of Sonics appeal these days is from the Nintendo fanbase. And Sandbag is a Nintendo fanbase character as well.

Auron could still lose to Sonic 1v1, AND this match still has nothing to do with sandbag. Sonic sucks gigantic ass in 4-ways, or Sonic team imploded last year and they're just miserably weak compared to their former selves. Either way, Auron winning here isn't dependent at all upon Sandbag. I hope this will be a much more commonly held belief once Auron wins this one in a rout.

Auron isn't bad in the day but Sonic's still better.

Sonic's morning vote is MUCH better than his ASV. His ASV is better than Auron's, but not by a wide margin. Morning vote doesn't last long enough for Sonic to do tons of damage anyway.

Big dropoffs for Sandbag and Sonic there.

Honestly I'd put my money on Sub-Zero putting more damage on Sonic than the Sandbag. Mortal Kombat and Sonic have a lot of parallels. Both were released in the 16 bit generation, both have series that still make games today but don't quite recapture the glory days (with some being outright terrible)

Yeah.

I never understood this "cripple his trend" argument. If you have Sora and Master Chief in a 3-way poll with Crono, Chief and Sora are still going to gain the same relative to Crono as they would in a 1v1 situation.
