I could see Dante dominating these guys if Leon isn't around. Kirby has
never impressed me as much as some people, and well let's just say I
don't believe in Chief. Although it is like an old friend has come back now that he's a choker again. --- Should I start running now? |

Well, MC certainly made it closer. There's no doubt Big Boss should
have won this though...but then again, he would have been embarrassed

The only way Dante isn't winning this division is if Leon miraculously
beats Riku tomorrow. And given Sora and Haybusa's round 2 matches, I'd

Er...Mega/WCC/Solid/Zero, whatever. Anyway, so who does everyone think is escaping the division and -- reasonably assuming Sonic and Sephiroth make it out of their divisions -- will they affect Sonic's chances of advancing further? This was a big discussion when Seph > MC was hot...and, though MC isn't looking so hot, Sonic isn't either. We should have been seeing Big Boss escape this division rather comfortably. darn you raiden Question: if Ocelot was here instead of Raiden, would Big Boss be doing any better/worse? Probably worse. I'd imagine Ocelot's fans would be more loyal than Raiden's. I don't think Raiden's quite gotten rid of the MGS2 stigma. Also: Kirby Kratos Master Chief Vivi ... Kirby > Kratos > Master Chief > Vivi For an upset, of course. I still don't have a great deal of faith in Kratos's strength yet. This was a big discussion when Seph > MC was hot...and, though MC isn't looking so hot, Sonic isn't either. Any thoughts there now? Do you think Kirby would be beating Sonic right now? Match XLVI: Leon Kennedy vs. Riku vs. Dante vs. Hogger Last Round: Leon Kennedy – 42.36% Riku – 27.43% Siegfried Schtauffen – 16.80% Captain MacMillan – 13.40% What happen to you Riku, you were supposed to keep close to Leon. Not only did you fail there, but Leon may have done well enough to prevent Riku using the Dante/Leon fishiness to sneak into second. Still Pikachu was able to benefit last year by a lot, I guess we have to wait and see. Dante – 50.08% Hogger – 16.82% Ramza Beoulve – 16.70% Laharl – 16.40% Well Dante was able to become the first non-noble nine to break 50% in a match. I was expecting much more out of Ramza, I knew you wouldn’t be your 2003 self, but you’re barely stronger than Laharl now. At the same time rallying was only able to barely save Hogger from defeat as he edged out Ramza in so far the closest match of the contest. Analysis: Didn’t we see Dante and Leon go at it last year where some surprisingly LFF occurred granting Pikachu first and causing Leon to have an early elimination. If the same thing happens again there are going to be a lot of angry Leon fans. Riku didn’t look so hot last round and with a Resident Evil boost he may not have enough strength to win or even come in second. No amount of rallying will save Hogger from reaching last in this match. He had a massive rally and the end result was Hogger only being slightly stronger than Laharl. Good thing his competition was weak. Rallying may prevent Hogger from embarrassing himself, but it can also backfire; the characters he’s up against are much better known than Ramza and Laharl and there is a chance that they may change their vote to one of those characters just like SMB/WC in 2006. No matter what happens Dante should have the power to at least advance in this match. Dante had a good showing by tripling fodder last round and the only thing he really needs to worry about is Leon. Looking at the percent they got last year it looks like something that you would expect however against Pikachu it looked like they were LFF each other, I have no idea why they are that closely related to each other, but they were and Pikachu took advantage. Anyway if anybody gets eliminated by this it will be more likely to be Leon. Leon you may have impressed and it looks like you have increased in strength compare to last year, but you probably got the worst draw that you were hoping for, Dante. There is some good news that Leon can work with and that is Amaterasu stayed relatively close to Dante in that match and maybe it was Pikachu with the sprite that caused him to jump up. Of course looking at the other side of the argument Amaterasu may have been affected in what I can only call Capcom LFF. This year both Amaterasu and Balthier, who is connected with Amaterasu looked a lot better. The counter argument could then be that FFXII has begun to sink in and Okami for the Wii was recently released and really all of this is just making me want to watch this match all the more. |

| I think I’ve said all I wanted to say about
Dante/Leon last year so here are the facts for Riku. Last round he lost
to Leon 61/39 while last year in round 2 Pikachu lost 58/42, but the
next round he turned it into a 58/42 win. Leon is also probably
stronger this year than he was last year. If the same crazy LFF occurs
again Riku can still not only place, but come in first just like what
Pikachu did last year. If not both Dante and Leon are going to have a
walk in the park in this match. Well this match seems like it will be one of those extremely hyped ones, but once the poll starts it will probably get very boring very fast. I chickened out on having Riku in first, but I do have him in second and even Pikachu last year was only able to defeat Dante by a couple of percent. Of course there may not even be any LFF and it was Pikachu with the sprite. Some people when I've been rallying on blizzard forums were wondering how a guy named "Cloud" who they never heard of did so well in one of his matches.
