The best Chief is doing now is stalling Kirby. I think at one point I had Kirby > Chief in this round too. My reasoning? Hmm, Kirby is 2000 votes up, but Chief has finally managed to start
stalling him. Looking at MC/DK, this was also around the time Chief
stalled DK, and he began coming back fast with another couple of hours.
DK even had a similar lead to Kirby, and lost by 1500. Of course, Kirby
is no DK (or at least I hope not). MC nonetheless has a chance at
coming back here, but he needs to start cutting soon. DK's voting trends are different than other Nintendo characters; he seems to be stonger in the night than most Nintendo characters and weaker in the day than most Nintendo characters. Was this a weekday or weekend match? Hmm....Kirby has 52.80% on MC now, while DK had 53.24% at the same time
and ended at 49.21%. No idea really what the change in start times did

Yeah, I wouldn't expect Kirby to collapse like DK. MC doesn't really
need a DK-esque collapse though, because he won that match by 1500

For what it's worth, I think DK pretty epically fails from the ASV on
in all of his matches -- I remember Sam Fisher started gaining big
percentage on him in 2k4. I don't think Kirby's that bad, not to
mention the time-change that probably smoothed things out a bit with

Dante and Leon are still out of the puffball's league these days - the Kirbster needs them to hurt each other. Dante may be, but I'm not so sure Leon is. I don't know what Leon gets directly on Dante these days though, so who knows? but Dante>MC looks likely even with Leon there. Kirby's beating MC outright now, and he'll still beat him outright next year. If Dante and Leon are both there, Kirby will have the same advantage he has here: He will stand out like crazy in the match pic, and he'll be pure Nintendo (though I imagine Leon does get a great deal of help from the Nintendo base. Didn't seem to have much effect in the Bowser match though). If Leon hurts Dante, the best he can do is second place. Unless Kirby stops his crazy gains right now, I'd say its over though Yes, because MC has gained...-153 votes since he took the lead from Big Boss. votes. Kirby should be the favorite, but this isn't quite over yet. Being down 2000 votes and winning by 1500 is not equal to being down 3400 votes and winning by 100. It's a different ballgame if you're winning by a lot than when you are winning by a little. Oh, and DK is a horrible day vote character. Don't compare him to
Kirby. He doesn't gain anything from the day vote at all. If anything,
he loses ground. The day vote was where he lost it against Vercetti in
2003. He did slightly worse in the day this year than at night (though
he was awful all around). Also, we can compare Kirby to DK last year because they were in the same match in round 2. With the day vote, Kirby gained around .7% while DK lost about .3% with it. Kirby gained as much percentage with the day vote as Kratos did (though it was harder to Kratos to go up than Kirby, granted). The only reason Kirby needs to go up is the fact there are two MGS
characters in this poll. It isn't like Chief hasn't benefited, he went

xDDDD Kirby stuffers. Also, Kirby should be the only "kiddie" option next round with three more "mature" character. And RE boost or no, I don't think Leon wins 1 vs 1 against Kirby. Kirby > Dante next round? I think there was LFF last year yes, but I think the key factor was the RE2 pic.
