Sora > Yoshi one-on-one wouldn't surprise me, considering Yoshi's
one *good* run involved him barely breaking 40% on Blue Solid ****,
while Sora broke 46% on Mega Man. Mega needs to have underperformed
pretty badly against Sora (or super overperformed on Snake) for Yoshi
to have been above Sora back then, and, well, neither of those feel
right. Not to mention that Yoshi's probably lost a step or two since

Seriously, who on that path has looked bad since 2k6? Kratos and Ryu
both looked amazing last year, Gordon looked decent, same with Nick,
and without rallying/stuffing involved Axel would have beaten Frog,
while Sora was never able to face anyone of note until he got stuck
behind Squall, but he still beat a character who murdered him in past

Megaman 2006 has been vindicated the past 2 years. what Let's review: Couldn't beat Sprite Samus in a poll with Yoshi. Proceeded to get blasted so hard in the following round that he ended up closer to Ryu than Samus. Let Nero get 25% on him in the first round this year, and let Tidus improve significantly on his 2k4 performance despite the tumultuous downward slide he's been on. Not to mention Zero, who lost to Hayabusa last round and only *just* pulled off the win against Vivi despite having the biggest picture advantage he could've asked for. The fact that Sora is doing well today against pedo-Squall and an overrated, shell-of-his-former self Yoshi (look at FOX) speaks nothing to Mega Man's strength. --- turnturnturn your brain in turnturnturn your brain in |

You know, it's very possible that Samus is just THAT strong. I mean,
it's not like Snake didn't go from murdering everybody else to not even

And I don't like the format cuz of trolling (granted, thats one part of

beaten Frog Kratos had GoW2 since his loss to Ryu, Gordon and Ryu clearly benefit from the format (and Ryu had a fortuitous path, he nearly lost to a Cloud-SFFed Auron and got thwomped in his exit), Axel beating Frog is nothing to brag about, and Phoenix has been getting steadily stronger and more legit in both strength and trends over the years. That's because Samus is really strong- notice how well she did against Cloud- in retrospect, expecting Yoshi to LFF Samus enough for MM to take first was wishful thinking as there's quite a bit of overlap between Megaman and Yoshi. Let Nero get 25% on him in the first round this year, and let Tidus improve significantly on his 2k4 performance despite the tumultuous downward slide he's been on. Megaman underperformed just like the rest of the Noble Nine in round 1 (and it was hardly one of the least impressive performances). And I didn't say Megaman was at his 2004 level: remember he beat Snake with 57% in 2004- he's clearly a few steps below that level of strength. The fact that Sora is doing well today against pedo-Squall and an overrated, shell-of-his-former self Yoshi (look at FOX) speaks nothing to Mega Man's strength. Well by the looks of it, Fox is out of the running but he's also tripping up Yoshi. So is this Squall's lowest % of all time or is he still performing well despite the pic? Eh, arguing between Mega Man and Sonic is like arguing which piece of

I don't mind Yoshi, but he's not one of my favorite Mario characters
(and my favorite two are both out of this already) and he just seems to
have really good luck in these things when he isn't getting blasted by

Hmm, checking that poll again, it appears Samus did as well on Cloud as
her 2004 match (somewhat surprising, considering Megaman was in that
poll), while Cloud put up 69% on Megaman (more than Link did in 2004
with SFF). It's not conclusive however due to possible Samus/Megaman
