It decides whether or not BT keeps his account! I guess, but I think Turtle would be way more "pwned" if he had to endure Mega Man getting his ass kicked by a cube than by closing his account and coming back the next day. Either way, this match is still pretty boring go Snake go. --- Yoblazer: http://i33.tinypic.com/16hnm05.jpg Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your world! |

I want Zero to win but it's not like Vivi is a bad character. Now that
Magus lost to the stupid bag of sand once teh kiddies woke up on the
other hand is really disturbing, or that Alucard lost to Pikachu :( --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. The 2008 Guru contest winner > Me |

I don't understand how you can find a match this close boring. Less
than 6 hours til the poll closes and who takes 2nd is still up in the
air. Doesn't get any better than this IMO. --- Proud member of the A1 Steak Sauce Guild |

KleenexTissue50 | Posted 10/29/2008 3:19:54 PM | message detail |
It's boring because the match has been stagnant for the past 3 hours.
Huge vote swings and massive comebacks are fun. Watching a match sit at
250 votes all day is not. --- CB7 Score: 144/200 http://i521.photobucket.com/albums/w333/usagiaruku/1224857053726.jpg |

KleenexTissue50 (#316) its still up in the air. And this is mroe exciting cuz we still have no idea how it'll go then a match that is decided 2 hours into the asv. --- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v410/RyanSaotome/rydia.gif http://card.mygamercard.net/aero/Albion+Hero.png |

It's because this is one of the slowest comebacks ever. The most
exciting matches (with the exception of CT/LTTP) are those with massive
and/or fast comebacks. --- Crono's quest to kick L-Block out of this contest: Round 3: Crono vs. L-Block vs. Pikachu vs. Alucard |

Psh, you don't need huge swings to have an epic conflict. I find these
2 duking it out so evenly to be more entertaining than huge changes.
Both are fighting for every inch. --- Proud member of the A1 Steak Sauce Guild |
MyWorldIsCrono | Posted 10/29/2008 3:23:42 PM | message detail |

Zylo the wolf | Posted 10/29/2008 3:24:11 PM | message detail |
I really hate massive vote swings, because the only time it has
happened on the character I wanted to win was Sonic VS Crono, otherwise
it has always been my favourite having a solid lead and then some
stupid character comes back and wins and as always there are no signs
of cheating... No this matches are much better. Zero and Vivi are both cool characters and it looks like this will be a nailbiter. --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. The 2008 Guru contest winner > Me |
MyWorldIsCrono | Posted 10/29/2008 3:25:02 PM | message detail |

We need to have a one on one Games Contest next spring....and we need
to bring Starcraft back. There's nothing like a real second night vote

I want to see the rally power of WoW. Can it comeback from a 5000 lead in less than one hour? --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. The 2008 Guru contest winner > Me |
MyWorldIsCrono | Posted 10/29/2008 3:28:13 PM | message detail |
Zylo the wolf (#325) I could totally see that happening in a close 1v1 game match. Kinda tough in this format, plus not every single wow character is gonna be big on characters like Arthas and Hogger. But the game itself? There can be lots of rallying/stuffing for it --- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v410/RyanSaotome/rydia.gif http://card.mygamercard.net/aero/Albion+Hero.png |
Chaotic Mind | Posted 10/29/2008 3:28:38 PM | message detail |

MyWorldIsCrono | Posted 10/29/2008 3:29:35 PM | message detail |
Chaotic Mind (#327) Thats 4way, with a character alot of WoW players don't even know. We've seen from Kerrigan compare to Starcraft that Blizzard fans rally around their games more then characters. --- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v410/RyanSaotome/rydia.gif http://card.mygamercard.net/aero/Albion+Hero.png |
Chaotic Mind | Posted 10/29/2008 3:29:43 PM | message detail |
Oh right you're talking about the games contest. Yeah if it's 1v1 WoW could probably do that. --- Proud member of the A1 Steak Sauce Guild |
red sox 777 | Posted 10/29/2008 3:31:24 PM | message detail |
5000 in one hour is probably not feasible. Starcraft managed 2200 on
Wind Waker in 5 and a half hours or so, and was probably capable of a
few more hundred if it had needed them in the last half hour, but
that's nothing compared to 5000 in an hour. --- Crono's quest to kick L-Block out of this contest: Round 3: Crono vs. L-Block vs. Pikachu vs. Alucard |
creativename | Posted 10/29/2008 3:31:48 PM | message detail |
From the last topic: Lopen Uhhh Seph didn't do much worse against Cloud than he'd be expected to do 1v1. They both got destroyed by SFF, really. What? In each match I look at, Sephiroth did substantially worse than he'd be expected to do 1 on 1 against Cloud. So I think it could well be better for Mega Man if Zero advances, rather than if Vivi advances. Because Mega Man would likely SFF Zero worse in this format. Also we've seen that weaker characters not in contention tend to underperform, which would likely only exaggerate any SFF Mega Man would get against Zero. --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

1,000 in an hour is the most I could see the World of Warcraft game
itself manage in an hour. Note that vote totals for the next games
contest would likely be well over 50% more than those of the last games
contest. I could see something close to 1,000 in an hour actually happening though for the WoW game itself - as long as it was against a game that WoW players wouldn't have the "respect" factor for (e.g. a classic Mario game). --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |
MyWorldIsCrono | Posted 10/29/2008 3:38:59 PM | message detail |
Put it against a Final Fantasy game or something, and I could easiyl
see them rallying it. On one of my rallying topics for Arthas, people
were wodnering Cloud was and why he did so well in round 1. They aren't
really jrpg people. --- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v410/RyanSaotome/rydia.gif http://card.mygamercard.net/aero/Albion+Hero.png |

Doesn't matter if it was caught, bacon won't care to catch it. This.. It really feel like Bacon just wanted to get rid of the character battle. While it was nice of him to allow us to make the match pictures in round 1, it's shows how lazy and uninterested he is in this thing. At least CjayC tried to think up a new twist each year, Bacon is more like "Same as last year, only with a different bracket." --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. Uh, 2k3/2k4/2k5 were all the same type of contest from what I know. In 2003 everyone got a chance to nominate characters, which is why we so many Nintendo and Square characters got in that year. In 2004 there was a company limit, to avoid there being to many Square and Nintendo characters. In 2005 there was the ToC, and Link, Cloud and Sephiroth was removed. In 2006 there was the female bracket and the male bracket. In 2007, we got this fourway format. This year is all about if L-Block can do it again? --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. The 2008 Guru contest winner > Me |
