The point is: Many of the Nintendo midcarders are suddenly
nosediving so fast that suddenly they seem worse than CATS and that's
saying something. ...this is one of those "____'s like a Nintendo character" things, isn't it? Wow. Sonic, Mega Man, and now Crono. Nintendo's sure made a lot more games than I thought they did! |

We really should have seen this coming from the Round 1 match with
Gordon and Scorpion. I would bet that Gordon would have done the same
thing he's doing now if Big Daddy wasn't leeching some of the Xbox/FPS

The Orange Box got released on the 360 between his Round 1 and 2
matches last year. Then look at his performances against Duke and tell

| There's plenty of reasons. Big Daddy taking a lot
of the 360/PC/FPS vote in Round 1 is one. Gordon having a tendency to
keep votes in Round 2 despite stronger characters due to his hardcore
fanbase is another (he did this to Duke last year as well). There's
also Scorpion's pic, which while somewhat cool looking, does not look
like traditional Scorpion. Really, Scorpion was doomed the moment

Vincent over 40% already. Good job from him. Gordon's overperformance and Falco's flop don't surprise me. Scorpion doing this bad does though. Moltar sums up my feelings pretty well. I was going to say "Falco with
15%" last night before the poll started but stayed conservative with a
"flop for high teens." You don't get that close to Glados and get on
the same level with Fox. Even ignoring Vincent's under performance, he
still beat him down pretty good. Not quite sure why everyone thought
that performance was amazing when it was happening. Didn't expect
Scorpion to bomb just as much though. I'll attribute a lot of it to the
pic though... Scorpion's a fairly generic name, and I could easily see
fans of his not realizing that's MK Scorpion from the pic. Gordon still
most likely beats him even with a good pic, but it doesn't look as
ridiculous as it does right now. And Samus' performance was totally 100% more impressive than what Vincent's doing now. Link > Samus book it. --- eat me |

If you compare LFF'd Ganondorf/Frog/Nightmare to Gordon/Scorpion/Falco
through Frog/Scorpion 2007, Vincent looks good to beat Samus next
round, but I don't think this is the same Scorpion. Samus doubled Frog
yesterday while being LFF'd by Ganon; Vincent has no one to LFF him
today and he's at 61% on Gordon Freeman. Freeman is probably stronger
than Frog now, but I can't really call that a very impressive

him. Doesn't look like he could touch Gordon in this situation, at

BagFries Gordon still most likely beats him even with a good pic, but it doesn't look as ridiculous as it does right now. I agree. Big Daddy probably took just enough votes from Gordon for Scorpion to beat him in round 1, so Gordon likely wins again here anyway. But the picture has got to be hurting him tremendously. It looks nothing like normal Scorpion. red sox 777 but I don't think this is the same Scorpion. It definitely isn't. He might be weaker this year even not considering the picture, but the picture makes this a different Scorpion anyway. Samus doubled Frog yesterday while being LFF'd by Ganon I don't think she was really noticeably LFF'd by Ganon. If you work out the x-stats for that match using Morgoth's formula and Excel solver, we get the following: Samus 50.00% Ganon 35.91% Frog 30.31% Nightmare 24.15% And Frog got 29.95% against Samus directly back in 2K5, which is like exactly the same. Frog may be a bit weaker today, so Samus might have been hurt slightly, but mostly I think Ganon was SFFed - albeit not too much. Don't think he was really hurting Samus. I myself was expecting more LFF here after what happened with Mario/Zelda/MMX, but it seems to not have materialized (unless Frog is a lot weaker than in 2K5, and Nightmare is even more of an utter chump against tough competition than he looks...or you think Samus should be stronger today than in 2K5, which is probably more reasonable than the former things). --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

In round 2 Samus got 65.69% on Scorpion, right now Vincent is getting 68.05%. Gordon to beat Ganon next round? Just by that text it'd put him down

Using Scorpion/Frog comparisons, I think Vincent's chances at the upset
next round are better than I initially gave credit (albeit still quite

Also, considering the only drama next round will be a fight for first,
Gordon seemingly looking better against tougher opposition (as well as

The thing that gives me hope is that L-Block's trends have changed so
dramatically. Each round last year, his early vote became better and
better, but this year he regressed to having more balanced trends than
even round 1 last year. Link was able to go more or less even with L
during the day last year....L-Block's insane early vote was what built
