Bowser also went 50/50 with Snake during the sprite round. There's
obviously a bit of difference between Frog and Bowser, but think about

this showing by magus clearly indicates that big boss wasn't all pic
just a massive mgs4 boost because look at how close he is to the noble
nine we can conclude that big boss is now snake level and master
chief/dante are so screwed --- kept you waiting, huh |

Well at least the Red Sox caught up. If you'd asked me which comeback
was more likely an hour ago, I'd have said Magus coming back was
somewhere around infinitely more likely. Time to start the damage
control, although it shouldn't be needed. Magus did quite well this
match, breaking 40% on Sonic. Sandbag is strong in 4-ways, and

And since all the remaining characters in the Magnificant 7 lost to

As far as I'm concerned the Noble Nine crumbled the moment Crono
lost to Vincent. 1 on 1 or not, all it takes is one sign of weakness. 1) Frog/Samus was likely an SFF affair, given the absurd boost Riku got between 2005 and 2006 Riku appeared very similar in both 2005 and 2007, and once again in 2008. Chances are that 2006 was the anamoly, not 2005. 2) Knuckles vastly overperformed on Squall Base Magus off of 2004 Tidus then. It's a little lower, but it's pretty much the same value. 3) Frog went 50/50 with the guy that beat Knuckles into the ground 3 years in a row SPRITE ROUND. Clearly you think Magus overperformed on Link in 2003 because of this. You can't have it both ways. Not to mention that Snake suffers in the Sprite Round as well. --- ""--Banjo |

Don't you people get it by now? It doesn't matter who the items are up against. They will always pull out these close, fishy victories. It's the way this contest works now. Next round, Sandbag will "barely" top Sonic or Auron and then it'll be laughs all around for the kids. --- :> |

Round 1 Division 8- Match 2 Auron Auron returns, and is looking for a great year with no Final Fantasy 7 characters until... oh crap, Sephiroth in the third round. Oh well. Marcus Fenix One of my impressive dark horses last year, he's a sleeper pick to upset the lame Mortal Krapbat character Rydia Kain's performance gave some people hope of Rydia being worth something.... what? Sub-Zero laaaaaaaaaaaaamer Analysis: A boring match on paper, but certainly one that has potential to be interesting. Marcus Fenix showed us all that he's a reliable midcarder by beating the crap out of Kefka and Ocelot last year before bowing out to Ryu and Cloud. He could make some noise here against Sub-Zero, especially with Gears 2 only a month away. Speaking of Sub-Zero, how can people still play that abortion of a fighting game franchise? Such terrible taste. Fortunately, he doesn't have any releases today and is definitely vulnerable to the Fenix upset pick. Lastly, we have Auron, who after today's terrible performance and with Sandbag there, is now a favourite to beat Sonic and break the Noble Nine for a second time in as many years. TuRtLe's Prediction: Auron 41%, Marcus Fenix 25%, Sub-Zero 24%, Rydia 10% TuRtLe's Bracket: Auron > Sub-Zero TuRtLe's Vote: Marcus Fenix --- I want adventure in the great wide somewhere...
