I'd imagine that Magus needs to have a lead as early as possible to
build up a big night lead, because I'd imagine that Sandbag would have
similiar trends to other Nintendo characters, so should have good day

Dante will easily take first and if no huge rallying takes place so
will Ramza, though if there is rallying I can see Ramza holding his own
with his newly released PSP remake. If the match was today the results

Magus would normally rock the early vote and get a sizeable
lead...but is he really gonna win the early vote against Sandbag? Not
only is it power hour time, but Sandbag's board vote should be rocking. L-Block held his lead over Ryu for over 5 hours, during a time period where Ryu is a beast. Sandbag should also look to possibly do something similar here. This is another case of too little too late. If Hogger wasn't stalling
Ramza the past two hours we'd have a match on our hands. As it is,

Match XXIX: Commander Shepard vs. Magus vs. Sandbag vs. Sonic the Hedgehog Information: Name: Commander Shepard Game/Series From: Mass Effect 2007 Results: Did not enter As much as I’m hyping this match I always seem to forget the fourth character in this poll. Apparently Shepard is a customizable character from Mass Effect so while fans may like the game they could have a totally different looking Shepard than the default. Name: Magus Game/Series From: Chrono Trigger 2007 Results: 1st in round 1, 3rd in round 2 Magus had a terrible performance last year only barely breaking 30% in a match where many thought he would win handily. So far this round both Frog and Crono have performed better than they did last year, will the same be true for Magus? Name: Sandbag Game/Series From: Super Smash Bros. series 2007 Results: Did not enter While not a part of the 28 smash characters count Sandbag is truly one of the few things besides the glove that gets all of its strength from the smash series. While not a known joke character Sandbag has a lot of qualities that L-Block had when it first started with the exception of being in a tough group. Name: Sonic the Hedgehog Game/Series From: Sonic series 2007 Results: 1st in round 1, 1st in round 2, 1st in round 3, 3rd in round 4 Sonic was another character that was cut short by L-Block’s run and this year he could start off with the beginning of another joke character run. We haven’t even finished the first round and Sonic is the last Sonic character standing. There’s a lot of doubt on how well they can perform in this format and Sonic could be looking at an early exit. Analysis: With the beginning of the last division this is the last match of this round that I am looking forward to. Three characters have the possibility of placing, but only two will be walking out alive. It also helps that I am a fan of the three characters in question. Whether an epic battle happens or not Commander Shepard’s role will to come in last. Mass Effect was taken well by the gaming population though with Shepard being a customizable character people tend to forget him and make the character based more on the player’s look and personality. I don’t see him being total fodder, but I don’t see him doing much else. Sonic is the favourite to take first in this match. The Sonic characters haven’t looked too hot in this contest or the previous contest, but the only thing that I can see stopping Sonic is if Sandbag turns to be another L-Block without needing any momentum to jump start its run. I don’t see Magus doing anything even if Chrono Trigger characters are doing better his match against Phoenix/Bomberman/Crash was pathetic. As I’ve said Magus will be behind Sonic though that won’t guarantee that he will get second. Magus still has Sandbag to compete with and if he doesn’t shape up this could be another year where he fails to meet our expectations. |

| What makes this match so interesting is Sandbag.
Unlike WCC or Mudkip Sandbag never had an internet fad in which he
could rely on though neither did L-Block. Also like L-Block Sandbag is
probably next in line in the universally known joke characters in this
contest. Had Sandbag been in L-Block’s place last year I wouldn’t have
been surprised if he took the whole contest. Sandbag could end up being
as strong as Master Hand if the joke doesn’t really take off and the
only thing that I know about Sandbag’s range is that his bottom will
probably be Master Hand. Wow, I've missed a real rollercoaster, haven't I? When this whole rallying thing happened with Arthas, I said I respected it, even though it hurt my bracket. I just can't get behind that this time. Oh, don't get me wrong - seeing one guy have this kind of impact on the poll is downright inspirational. But that one guy's avalanche of posts in this topic make it seem less like real devotion to a cause and more like a petty vengeance ploy. That's not inspirational. That's...that's just sad. Still a damn good show, though. Here's hoping tonight's match is half as good after the first five minutes. |

I still think this is a different Laharl than the one that lost to

Any Final Fantasy site might help, I'd look for ones related to 7, or
