An item that appears in the Home-Run Contest, where the goal is to
do lots of damage to Sandbag, then send it flying as far as you can. It
also appears in the regular game. If you smash it, a storm of confetti
and items will burst out. Sandbag doesn't feel pain, though; in fact,

Some Common Stat Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote, because the Zelda fanbase so clearly sided with him. However, take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make total sense. This has caused a few SFF jokes, with LordOfDabu's "Some Frivolous Factor" being the funniest of them. X-Stats - Short form of Extrapolated Statistics, aka the mathematical "strength" of a contestant that can be determined based on their performance in any given matchup. See above for a detailed explanation of the x-stat process. rSFF (Reverse Same Fanbase Factor): An unproven theory that states that an SFF match will feature the expected weaker character receiving more benefit from SFF than the stronger character. For example, all evidence supports Samus being indirectly stronger than Mario, yet Mario blew Samus away during their 2005 match. That's rSFF in action, and the one case we have of the weaker statistical character winning with it. For other information, surf the contest sites a bit. You have to take other things into consideration, Turtle. People are
much more likely to become upset when the person who gleefully claims

I'm a huge WoW fan, and I think this is downright pathetic. Not the
rallying per se... but what you are rallying for. Hogger is a joke
entry, I don't give a crap what game he is from, he's still a joke and
meant to be fodder. This is exactly the sort of thing that's wrong with
this contest as it is. Ramza and Laharl are far better characters...
then again, it's hard not to be. Why didn't you guys rally in someone worth something, like Illidan? He actually would have been the favorite for second in this match had he been here instead I think. Seriously, anyone but freaking Hogger. --- :> |

Also, I thought earlier that the WoW-forums weren't rallying for Hogger
since nobody specifically mentioned them yet; I only heard what Albion
was doing. Poor logic on my behalf. Carry on Albion, though I do think
spending a lot of the day altering poll results is a bit desperate on

I'm not saying that Hogger isn't benefitting from massive rally votes
(or possibly cheated votes based on Blizzard's history), but if this
was the sole reason behind his comeback and lead increase wouldn't he
be hurting Dante as well? It is very very weird that different
characters are switching trends between the ASV and the morning vote,
but it has happened in the past. I'm not saying that Hogger's lead is
"legit" or non-rallyed, but I think there's a decent chance he would
