That's just the evening vote kicking in. Because there is no ASV, the
day vote is divided along the day, and now is when we typically see the

You're right about Earthbound not seeing a European release, but that's largely irrelevant since, like, 100 people vote Ness because of the Mother series. Well I'd say with Lucas VERY poor showing today, we see how much being
in Smash Bros can get without having ANY game to draw on, since Mother
3 isn't out here. So At least Ness has EArthbound which I'm sure gives

The big difference between Ness and Lucas is that Ness has been in
Smash from the beginning and had a fanbase there. Lucas is just in

You know, someone arguing for MM9 doing anything at this point,
much less giving him the juice to match up with Snake is not someone I
think is worth debating releases and their implications on the stats
anymore. Have fun with your Dante > Chief upset. I'd say he's better
suited to be looking out for Kirby given it's the sprite round. Huh? Why is it so unlikely for MM9 to boost Mega Man? Hmm I can't find the XBLA sales I remember seeing, but supposedly MM9
for Wii ware sold 60k first week, and XBLA version sold 70k or so from

Changing the subject 180 degrees here, but if we had a free-nomination
games contest (say, 15 nominations with no caps or requirements for
games of any era), how many pre-SNES games do you guys think might make

Most of the people who bought MM9 already know who Mega Man is, though. That's pretty stupid. Everyone who bought Halo 3 already knew who Master Chief was. Most new releases don't increase character strength by making more people know them, they increase them by making the existing fanbase love them more and ratchet them up in their preference scale. I'm not sure if Pac-Man can muster enough nominations. In 2004, it
received fewer nominations from the Arcade section than Donkey Kong did

With this being the year of MGS4, converting people from Snake to
Mega Man with something like MM9 isn't going to be easy -- and there's
a lot of ground that has to be made up. Yeah, with an MGS4 boost, I'm not expecting MM to come closer to Snake than he has in the past.
