Sure Mewtwo looks decent here, but no way he's that strong. He's a mid-high midcarder at best. http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3267 http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2907 Mewtwo is easily doubling Ness right now while Kirby wasn't that close to doubling DK. DK > Ness is obvious at this point, but it's also worth noting that they both did comparably against Mario one-on-one before (DK with 18.02% during 2k2, Ness with 17.2% during 2k5)... ...I'd have to side with Kirby, but it would probably be close. Yeah, good call for the Pac backers here. I missed Earthbound/Doom. I missed Ness/Jak. I missed Ness/CJ. I missed Alucard/Liquid/Ness/Zidane (had Ness placing). I missed Mewtwo/Ness/Pac-Man/Travis (had Ness placing). I hate you so ****ing much, Ness. Haha, I don't like him that much is the thing! I'm just trying to point
out in the face of major SFF, I doubt DK does much better here...and
Kirby/Mewtwo being close certainly feels close, so hey, lines up with

I can see DK doing better both legitimately and being able to make
Pac-Man fold some...but I'm not entirely sure it's enough at this point
thoughl Pac is up on Ness by 7.5% right now. DK is no Mario, Yoshi, or
Luigi, and it looks like we need big strong icons like that to crush
Pac-Man. I don't think DK's iconic status is cared for so much like
them and he's obviously weaker than them...plus, after the way he got

Who says Pac needs bigtime gaming icons to need him fold? We've never
seen him go against any that weren't bigtime. (Mewtwo SFFing Pac-Man
was a ridiculous idea, he's not iconia) DK beats Pac at least 60-40 1v1 methinks. I would think if you're going to SFF Pac-Man with icon-SFF, then bigger
icons will SFF him more than lesser icons. Not that DK isn't iconic,
but I feel like he's lost a lot of his iconic status. He's now making
rhythm games when he's not "just another character" in many of Mario's
spin-offs. Pac-Man runs almost solely off of his icon-status. DK can't
compete with his-icon status against Pac-Man like Yoshi or Luigi can,
and it doesn't help him that DK is not nearly as strong as either of
them, too. We've also seen DK doesn't hold up well to SFF, too; Mario's demolished DK, he couldn't beat Marth down too badly, and Kirby took him to town. Furthermore, the DKC series was destroyed in the 2D-platformer poll (to be fair, it was expected), DK64 was way between a SFF'd PD and Harvest Moon 64 in the VC-N64 poll, and Diddy Kong was embarrassed by Captain Falcon. Meanwhile, Mewtwo's showing he can handle SFF/LFF well again; he stood up to Bowser (though Toad was in the poll too) and he's easily doubling Ness. I don't know how well DK holds up there. DK would be doing better than Ness legitimately and I can see DK hurting Pac-Man a bit, but I don't know if it would be enough to have Mewtwo > DK if DK replaced Ness. --- NRT winners: Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow, Star Fox 64, Donkey Kong Country 2 Remember these games! |

For what it's worth: --Ness and CF have both been in all the SSB games, but they don't have much else. --Ike is a fave in SSBB, but he doesn't have much else. --Wario may not be so favored in SSBB, but he has more outside of the SSB-series than the rest. Ike > Falcon in that proposed match... simply because Falcon looked
good while Wario and Ness stunk. Ike has arguably a better fanbase to
fall back on other than Brawl. That, and he looks cool and not dumb like the others. Pic factor for sure. --- :> |

Despite many of our expectations being wrong about Diddy and Mewtwo, I
think what shocks me the most is that CF can use his SSB-power to crush
Diddy Kong (who is decent in SSBB) yet Ness can't use his SSB-power to

He was a favorite in SSB and there was a huge uproar when Lucas was
first announced to be on the SSBB-roster since people thought Ness
would be replaced, so I figured he still had a solid place in the

With how Mewtwo fared against Bowser last year, Mewtwo vs. Kirby has to be debatable. And Kirby did even better against Bowser than Mewtwo did, recall. Besides, you're looking at a Bowser who's being hindered by Toad anyway. If anything, I'd commend Mewtwo on his ability to resist LFF from Bowser, but that's it. Mewtwo is easily doubling Ness right now while Kirby wasn't that close to doubling DK. As bad as DK is at resisting SFF, at this point, I'd have to say Ness is worse. We don't know how bad the SFF is in either situation. Comparing SFF matches is always bad news, yo. As for the proposed fourpack, gimme...Not Ness is all I know. Uhhh...Ike > Wario? I've called all the Ness matches correctly since 2005. No idea what I
had in 2004 or the games. And the fact that the board constantly gets

After seeing Cecil, no way does Kain come at all close to Raiden. FFIV characters suck too much. Well, Rydia will probably do respectably just because she's friggin hot. If Vivi can SFF Tidus down, no chance Yuna gets out of there in any position higher than 2nd. Goin with Mewtwo > Vivi, though.
