Even though his game calls a Nintendo system home, we can logically
assume that Travis doesn't really appeal to that traditional fanbase.
He's up against three pure Nintendo characters (let's not argue that
Pac-Man is anything but), so he should already be getting a nice
boostie from the three-way fanbase split. Factor in the fact that he
looks great and has an awesome name, and I think he'll can do very
well. I personally expect him to hit the mid-teens, which is where
Pac-Man could also wind up. --- Yoblazer: NO LIMITS Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your world! |

I don't expect Pac-Man to get less than 20% unless Mewtwo and Ness do a
number on him. I really doubt Ness does, and there's a good chance
Mewtwo won't affect him either. --- Squall Leonhart's Path to the CBVII Championship Round 1: 1st place, 57296 votes, 45.06% |

Uhh Pac Man isn't a Nintendo character in any way. He probably has more
Sony games then anything. He's just a classic video game icon that gets
SFF'd by other classic gaming icons. --- http://card.mygamercard.net/geothermal/Albion+Hero.png http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n4/tellie1218/Obama_for_President_550.jpg |

Oh, I won't disagree about GH probably beating some of those older,
niche games that the 2004 games contest was rife with. Problem is, if
we have another properly run games contest next year, I expect to see
very few of those games in the bracket. It would beat current games as well though. Unless you're calling a properly run bracket to have every single big name FF, Zelda, Mario, SSB, and Metal Gear game, Guitar Hero would more than hold its own. I wouldn't call it a "one and done" type. --- Proud Supporter of Zero |

I'm still slightly boggled as to why Pac-Man is Nintendo. I don't deny

Nintendo until last year. --- 69/88 points - The Great GameFAQs Character Battle VII NP: Cloud Strife > Midna | http://www.thengamer.com/guru/bracket.php?id=0 |

ffmasterjose (#122) Its not Nintendo. Its classic gaming SFF. Pac Man only appeals to classic gaming, and Mario is more relevant to classic gaming then Pac Man. To be honest, I think Pac Man gets sff'd the least here. How many kids
growing up playing pokemon even know who Pac Man is? And barely any of
Ness' votes are from Earthbound, so its the kids growing up playing
Smash Bros that knew him. --- http://card.mygamercard.net/geothermal/Albion+Hero.png |

If you're counting on Mewtwo to SFF Ness' SSB votes, you're not
thinking things through. Ness has been in all 3 SSB games, was godly in
the first and is decent in Brawl. Mewtwo was only in Melee and was
terrible in it. --- Bracket: http://thengamer.com/guru/bracket.php?id=10 |

KamikazePotato (#138) Didn't say that. I'm just saying most of Ness' fans are from Smash Bros, so Ness isn't exactly popular with the old school gaming fans either.
