Dissidia art rocks. I like it alot better then the original FF artwork
for the characters who have gotten it. Plus, Clouds face Dissidia pic

Currently, Squall is getting 57.73% on Yoshi, 74.62% on CATS, and 86.58% on Nathan Drake. Yoshi is getting 68.29% on CATS and 82.53% on Nathan Drake. CATS is getting 68.69% on Nathan Drake. Square's record against Nintendo in the contest thus far is 5-5, with 6-5 lookin' good for tomorrow! Last year, it was Nintendo 15, Square 12. Hard to calculate with 4-ways though, and the sheer amount of Nintendo and Square fodder kinda messes things up, too. In 2006, it was Nintendo 6, Square 5. In 2005, it was Nintendo 8, Square 2. The two Square wins were Tifa over Luigi and Sephiroth over Mario. In 2004, it was Nintendo 3, Square 5. In 2003, it was Nintendo 5, Square 5. In 2002, it was Nintendo 4, Square 3. I think Squall has the tougher trio, even though I'd consider Wander a

some quick on the 400 posts since last night (seriously, wtf) 1) Axel is advancing tomorrow. Every year there's one really obvious pick that noone seems to see but me. Ness > CJ, Pac-Man > Ocelot, Warcraft > GTA, Ryu to round 4. If it was any other Nintendo character but Midna, I'd say he doesn't have a chance. But take into consideration how much Midna sucked last year. She was easily below the fodder line, and this was when Twilight Princess and Nintendo in general were relevant. Axel is the only real non "hardcore" character there (I use the term loosely since I never would consider Zelda or FF hardcore, but w/e). People will be franchise voting him to hell and back. If Midna beats him, I will eat my words, but I'm VERY confident in him advancing. He will be losing the board vote though. 2) Squall is easily the strongest non-NNer now, and I'd take him straight up over Sonic and Crono, and maybe to give Mega Man/Snake a good match now that Snake has fallen back to earth. Think it goes Squall > Vincent > Auron > Chief > Ganondorf as far as the strongest 5 non-NNers go. 3) Dissidia will do nothing for noone. It's a PSP game. Seriously guys, come on. |

People are basing off a lot the first round matches here. Let's wait and see how things go next round for Vincent and Squall. --- Demyx is better than Axel. |

Considering he almost matched Snake's percentage in 2006, I'd say there was some SFF there. Not as much as Mega Man/Yoshi 2005, but enough to skew the result. Even with the Nintendo De-boost, this is a really impressive performance for Squall, and most of Aeris' percentage going to him last year shows that he gets a good chunk of his strength from FF8 and Kingdom Hearts only compliments that. I think he's going to hold up pretty good against Cloud this year, certainly enough to get past a weakened Yoshi. As for Mewtwo advancing if Sora is there, it makes sense, but something tells me Mewtwo is going to bomb in round 2. Just call it a gut instinct. |

| Compare Mega Man and Snake's matches. It's clear Mega Man is a step above Sonic and Crono, and Snake is a step down from where he was. I still think Snake beats Mega Man, but it would be a close match. Certainly closer than Mega Man/Sonic would be. |
