I suppose it was hypocritical (and premature, but that goes without saying) of me to declare Mewtwo a guarantee, but it's just common sense to call him the overwhelming favorite, especially after last year. Cloud/Squall/Sora/Mewtwo Honestly, come on. Fanbase splits don't just hurt Nintendo characters, and from what we've seen, Cloud is the one Square force that can exhibit monstrous (not Link-esque, but still scary) levels of SFF domination on other Square characters. True, just saying that a Mewtwo sprite may bring up some nostalgic

He had Pokemon + SSBB fanbase. If he had the strength you guys are
thinking he does, no reason it would take him that long to get in

Because EB fans are insanely dedicated. I nominated Ness this year
simply because I didn't want to chance him not getting in, and I was
trying to save as many noms as possible for trades. Pokemon fans? Not so much. No Pokemon is going to rank on a favorites list or come to mind when nominating. We'll see. I think last years match was a fluke with him looking better
then he really was with Toad there. I mean do you think anyone who
voted for Toad wouldn't of voted for Bowser if Toad wasn't in the
match? The fact that Ryu beat Bowser big time when Bowser is

I usually compare Mewtwo to Ryu because of those reasons. While I agree
that Toad had a big effect on Bowser, you do remember that Ryu was

Toad/Bowser overlap more then Bowser/Mewtwo, though he probably did
take some votes from Mewtwo, I still think he was overrated due to

Bowser was obviously hurting Mewtwo, and Mewtwo, Bowser. You don't go from beating Ryu 60/40 to barely outdoing him without something going on. Even if you give Bowser 100% of Toad's votes, and obviously that's being generous, Bowser barely beats Ryu. Saying Mewtwo wasn't affected in that match is about as ignorant as it gets. --- LONG LIVE GAMEZACKS |

1.5 hours into the ASV and Yoshi has gone from 41.76% to 42% on Squall.
It also seems like Nathan is getting the ASV as well while Squall and

Summary of my analysis: People play Guitar Hero for the music not the
characters, Axel will fail unless Midna fails harder due to the site
shift. Despite being in a match with two other DS characters Miles

I've never been a fan of the Phoenix Wright series. Phoenix's match
earlier this round was the first time I've taken a character from that

Nobody expects Mewtwo to beat out Yoshi. The only way the upsets happening is if Squall/Sora advance next round over Yoshi. --- Demyx is better than Axel. |

Lucario is first, I don't even see why its debatable that Altair could be first I had Altair >Lucario for a long time then I was all like "Man all the other guys on Board 8 says Lucarwho will take both this match and round 2 with ease, I better change to Lucario > Altair in this round at least. But Midna is a Zelda character. Axel Steel is just like the DDR characters, nobody gives a **** about them, it the music in the games that matter. I still would be surprised if Axel beats Edgeworth tomorrow, but feel free to laugh at me if I'm wrong. The only thing that matters in this match is how high Cloud will go. |

Not to mention that GameFAQs isn't exactly the breeding grounds for GH
fanboyism. GH is the pinnacle of casual gaming, it would have a hard
enough time rallying support to do anything in a games contest, let
alone having one of it's characters do well. The only thing that stops
me from calling this match a lock is the absolutely pathetic
competition he has. Even then I'm pretty confident Axel's not going

SSBB can be casual gaming at lower levels of competiiton, but that doesn't make it the pinnacle of casual gaming.
