I don't understand the logic that DeDeDe was going to be stronger
than Pit because he had Kirby games to fall back on. Who likes DeDeDe
because of Kirby? Seriously, other than Kirby 64, he's nothing more
than a random enemy who serves as a last boss in a few games. Agreed. I thought Dedede would be stronger, but I felt it was because the Smash audience preferred him. Well, that's still an advantage L-Block has on Sandbag and especially
WCC, but I don't think you can fairly say that's what it takes to be a

Again, why are certain people thinking Sandbag will make some noise
in its match??? It's got ridiculously stiff competition, and gets SFF'd
by Sonic. Because I'm a mindless joke-zombie that supports characters exhibiting traits of my kindred: deficient in vocal communications, plague by annoying peasants not cowering in fear of me, sating my cannibalistic urge to devour raw human flesh in particular the ambrosial smörgåsbord housed in the cranium or satisfying your curiosity(to-;mA;-to; = to;-;mä;-to;), and I always come out on top. Match XX: Albert Wesker vs. Sackboy vs. Solid Snake vs. Vivi Ornitier Information: Name: Albert Wesker Game/Series From: Resident Evil series 2007 Results: 3rd in round 1 Wesker always seems to find a way into the bracket. Last year he did surprisingly well against Lara Croft and actually held the lead against her. This year he’s up against stiffer competition meaning he may not do as well here. Name: Sackboy Game/Series From: Little Big Planet 2007 Results: Did not enter This is an interesting character, he doesn’t exist, yet. Little Big Planet doesn’t come out for another two weeks. He’s a customable avatar that you can control in the game. The game may not be out, but looking at the message boards it seems like this is a hyped game for the Playstation 3 and that alone could keep Sackboy from coming in last. Name: Solid Snake Game/Series From: Metal Gear series 2007 Results: 1st in round 1, 1st in round 2, 1st in round 3, 2nd in round 4, 2nd in round 5, 4th in round 6 Besides Master Chief and the joke characters Solid Snake probably got the biggest boost with the format change last year. Solid Snake was expected to make it to the finals though with the exception against L-Block he past expectations in each match that we was in. This year he has MGS4 and Brawl to work with and even though he has a tougher path to go he’s still the favourite to go to the finals. Name: Vivi Ornitier Game/Series From: Final Fantasy IX 2007 Results: 2nd in round 1, 3rd in round 2 Vivi was supposed to have a close match against Tidus in round 2 to decide who would go to round 3. With Tidus’ loss to Pikachu it was expected of Vivi to waltz right into second, but for some reason Tidus became alive and gave Vivi a run for his money, too bad that caused Pikachu to steal second from both characters. Analysis: Another boring match where first and second are more or less decided. Even with the new character with an unknown value I’d find it hard for him to beat Vivi. I guess this match is to let us cool off so we can begin to hype about division 6. Solid Snake with easily take first. With this format, not including joke entrants Solid Snake is the fourth strongest character in the bracket and some could make a case for third. Since last year Snake has made an appearance in Brawl, though with him being one of the major pushers for hype I don’t think he will get much of a boost even if he’s a fan favourite. The main reason for a Solid Snake boost is Metal Gear Solid 4, that game pushed sales for the Playstation 3 and we’ve seen Liquid’s performance a few matches ago and I wouldn’t be surprised if Snake got a nice boost for himself. Like last year the black mage got the shaft and this year it doesn’t look like he’ll make it to round three either, but at least he won’t have much problems getting to round 2. With Zidane doing so well and his lack of competition I don’t see Vivi losing this match, though Sackboy could pose a threat to him if the voters take him as a joke character. |

| Sackboy seems to be a lot like Matt though his
name is more generic and even without the game being released for the
match I think that alone will boost Sackboy way above Matt the Mii.
Little Big Planet seems to be hyped for the Playstation 3 and its name
and appearance could lead to a number of people thinking it’s a joke
character therefore inflating his strength. While Wesker had a good showing last year I think he’ll have a tough battle against Sackboy. Wesker is considered to be fodder and I think Sackboy could bring in enough votes to take the pointless third place. That’s pretty sad losing to a character that doesn’t even exist yet. Ending this boring division we have Snake and Vivi placing and the only thing worth watching is how well or bad Sackboy performs being from a game that’s coming out in two weeks. ...wait, people are fearing Sackboy? Stop it. Ike had SSBB-hype and a GC game last year and he couldn't beat Gordon or Duke splitting each other. Sackboy has LBW-hype and...that's it. He's up against Wesker and Vivi. ...again, Wesker doesn't deserve a lot of credit, but he deserves
enough to beat a character that is only alive through a beta on the
most unpopular console here. Wesker has beaten a REAL character before,
even if it is just Luca. That's enough for me to think Sackboy doesn't
stand a chance. If you think Sackboy hype is high, realize they're

Round 1 Division 5- Match 4 Wesker He once lost to a Tales character. He also let Kefka break 70% on him. It will be hard to out-do that level of failure here. Sackboy moar like sack of crap mirite? Snake The clear favourite to win this division, unless Mega Man has something to say about it. Vivi The only decent thing to come out of his abortion of a game, he needs to impress heavily here to even be considered to round 3. Analysis: A boring match that will start off a string of boring matches. We won't get much out of this one. Wesker sucks, and Sackboy's game hasn't even come out yet. I suppose we might see Snake completely dominate thanks to Brawl and MGS4 coming out, but no real gauge here. Vivi is probably coming last next round, so short of him putting the fear into Snake, this match is useless. If Snake fails to impress here, cue the Mega Man upset train now that Zero might not be in that match. Snake is going to hurt Wesker a lot more than he'll hurt Sackboy. The
people who will vote for Sackboy aren't going to be distracted by Snake
