Are we really going to argue about who was right or wrong in a
SFF-battle between C-level Nintendo characters over who gets third and

Since when is liking fodder bad? Vyse is my favorite character and he was the fodder line for a while. And as interesting as this upset is, there's not much to talk about. Whoa, Ryu actually caught Zero? o_O The Xbox fanbase on this site is for real now. And Zero isn't exactly gaining any new fans (Damn you Capcom). Zero still wins one-on-one though, and probably could still have beaten Ryu if there weren't two Brawl characters taking up his general votes he'd probably normally get. But yeah, Ryu's performance isn't really surprising thinking about how well Altair did. If you think Altair's design makes him popular, he's got nothing on Mr. Ninja himself. And Ninja Gaiden absolutely kicks Assassin's Creed's ass. Now that Xbox has become more mainstream, it's characters are also becoming as such. --- Proud Supporter of Zero |

What is Sackboy anyways? He looks like a sack of crap in that picture. And as interesting as this upset is, there's not much to talk about. We won't really know if this is more Ryu boosting or Zero dropping until next round. I think it's pretty safe to say this is Ryu boosting, given that he got NG2 only a few months ago. He wasn't too far off from Zero to begin with last year if you look at Yoshi/Riku 2006. |

Nintendo/Mega Man SFF has been an entity that has both supporting and
contradicting evidence depending on where you look - kinda like FF/MGS
SFF. In this particular match I'd take Ryu standing out like hell to
mean much more than any Ninty connections here - subbing Axel and Roxas

I think it's a combination of the two. Ryu's definitely sticking out.
Xbox(ish) characters tend to do that. A good amount of his fans
probably have little ties to older characters (besides old school Ryu
fans of course!) or
Nintendo. But I'm pretty sure that Pit and Dedede are affecting Zero.
Zero of course has his core fanbase voting for him here, but I'm sure
two Brawl characters being in the polls are taking away the Nintendo
fans that like Zero, but have him at a lower tier than the Nintendo
