| Chief was against Chrono Trigger characters in 2004 and 2005. Plus he had a terrible night vote to begin with. Chief was like 70-30 day-night back then whereas I would say Ryu was more 60-40. |

| Mario only won 3 (15 minute I think) updates
against Crono in 2004. Frog won the day vote against Solid Snake. CT

lol Pit I guess this pretty much is the last piece of evidence against BRAWLFEAR! It's dead and gone. Pit has pretty much everything going for him as far as Brawl goes (known since trailer, casual bait, decent character design). He can't even pass Dedede on the totem pole and Ryu is making them both look bad. This poll actually brings a tear to my eyes. Ryu is pretty high up on my chacter list. To see him hang with the likes of Zero (who is my fave) is pretty awesome. I'm not worried about Zero. He was pretty legit last year, hanging with Crono and such. Having two Nintendo characters can't be helping him. But this poll is all Ryu. --- Proud Supporter of Zero |

| I disagree. It has nothing to do with his strength, because at the end of the day, he gets what he gets. It has to do with the X-box becoming less hated around here. The X-Box day vote now is better than it was 3 years ago IMO. |

| Definitely. As much as I love Zero, it's great to
see Ryu hanging out with the big boys. This raises some interesting
matchup possibilities. Riku/Ryu rematch anyone? |

power hour's over - if this holds up for another update, I'd say that
we should expect Zero to take it handily. I'm expecting a Ryu cut
though. these guys have pretty similar trends all told, which kinda

An MGS1 pic very much fits the "theme" (sans the whole "first
appearance" thing, but I'm sure he's not going to adhere to them that
strictly) and looks better to boot. Not saying it'll happen, but it's
hard for me to see Snake getting it with all the other, better options
he'll have to choose from How does a MGS1 pic fit the theme? Is there a sprite from that game? Or did you mean the GB version? The sprite from that really isn't that much better. --- "I've covered wars, ya know. "--Frank West |

Shoenin_Kakashi (#473) It depends on the year. For people submitting r3 pics, it says this: Round 3: Images must be 70 pixels wide by 150 pixels high, and use the character's sprite from a game where they've appeared in 2D. If the character has never been shown in 2D as a sprite, the simplest in-game render from their earliest appearance is appropriate (like last year's Round 3). The background should also be from a 2D or early apperance, but faded enough not to obscure the sprite. What about Mario vs Zero couple years ago, along with Snake vs ! Sora. That wasn't a sprite round at all. That was in-game action shot (except for Crono, and I guess Vincent... don't know where that one came from ). The fourth round was actually the sprite round in 2k5 (Mario/Samus, Bowser/Snake, Crono/Vincent, Mega Man/Sonic). --- Proud Supporter of Zero |
