Sandbag has Hell on Earth in the second round. A Noble 9er and a beast
in this format (this is assuming he even makes it there). At this
point, I'd say he has a better shot of Nintendo fans jumping ship and
supporting him en masse (thus beating Sonic) than he does of taking out

Given that we're dealing with user submitted pictures this year, I
don't think Snake has to worry about getting his usual sprite. I wouldn't say that. I think it's pretty likely someone's going to submit one of his godawful first sprites. If they do, Bacon might accept it just because that's what he's always had before. |

| Snake only beat Megaman with 55% in 2006, and it
looks doubtful Brawl actually releasing helped him that much. MGS4
gives him another boost, but sprite round Snake has done badly enough
(seriously, 51% on Frog?) that I have to give Megaman a chance in a

Auron. If Sandbag gets 30% like all the other jokes seem to be getting that should be enough. Sonic and Auron are not going to triple Sub Zero, Fourth Place Factor or no. I wouldn't say that. I think it's pretty likely someone's going to
submit one of his godawful first sprites. If they do, Bacon might
accept it just because that's what he's always had before. If there's better out there (and there will be -- I sent in one from MGS1), I would bet on him going wiht it over the usual. It'd be like going with MGS1 artwork of Big Boss instead of Naked Snake. It could happen, but I'm doubtin' it. Not that he necessarily needs a different pic in order to advance... --- Kept you waiting, huh |

Given that we're dealing with user submitted pictures this year, I
don't think Snake has to worry about getting his usual sprite. But he
performed well enough last year in the sprite round that there
shouldn't be much cause for worry. The difference between Snake and
Mega Man is substantial at this point. Yoshi > Squall? |

| If Sandbag is getting enough SSBB votes to be competitive, I really don't see Auron losing to Sonic there. Sonic really hasn't been impressive in this format at all. |

Magus lost to Knuckles, and look how well he did. =P By the way, Tails is bombing pretty hard here, as well. He's not pulling a DK, but he's still a handful of percentage points lower than most Oracle predictions had him (due mainly to Cube, but still). I always had Tails this low regardless of what happened. He looked like
garbage last year and with DK in with him probably siphoning some

Frog?) that I have to give Megaman a chance in a 1v1. But with Zero
there, it won't be remotely close. There's a better, more recent example to use than the Frog match from four years ago: http://www.gamefaqscontests.com/drupal/node/22?matchnum=2917&num=4 He did well here, enough to alleviate any concerns about him placing in the division finals, especially this year. Mega Man's the one to worry about there, although it might be a bit early to be talking about the Cube taking out Noble Niners to begin with. --- Kept you waiting, huh |
