The only character on that list that was supposed to get a good
Brawl boost was MK, and...he flopped? He performed far better than he
did last year, just because he couldn't beat L-Block (which even Ryu
failed to do) doesn't mean flop. People expected him to contend. He was nowhere in sight. And all those characters were supposed to get Brawl boosts. --- Good Times, Great Memories |

I still don't understand this. Captain bombed like fodder twice in a
row. You don't even see him in his own games. How is he beating Diddy
Kong so badly? How can Diddy be so weak compared to DK? How are Kratos and Alucard doing so badly despite the SFF? Getting 25% on 2k6 Crono is not as bad as you are making it and Fox killed him last year. IMO Diddy was like Donkey Kong's Tails. Just another character that board 8 overrates. Remember back in 2003 people were calling Diddy to be fodder and nothing has changed since then except for Brawl and Falcon is more of a favourite character. That's it. Everyone listen up since you're all lost. Everything is
obvious but you all are too bone-headed to comprehend simple stuff. Nobody likes Diddy Kong. Much like Donkey Kong. DK does bad enough as it is so why would a smaller, wussier, fruitier version of DK be worth anything? Captain Falcon is cool but not as cool as Fox. That's why he did bad last year. Falcon was hit by Double-SFF AND LFF. Kratos Aurion is fodder obviously. Don't know why he was considered. we already know that matches with L block/mudkip/etc get stuffed as hell. nothing to do about it.we can just accept that as part of their strength. |

People expected him to contend. He was nowhere in sight. Contend with a crippled L-Block. Who obviously was not crippled. And all those characters were supposed to get Brawl boosts. You people need to learn the difference between being in Brawl and being liked in Brawl. Lucario? Not used by casuals. Wario? Not used by casuals. Diddy? Nope. MK? Yes. Ike? Yes. People expected him to contend. He was nowhere in sight. He was supposed to contend because L was supposed to start weak. If beating Ryu is your idea of weak then I don't know what to say. I doubt anybody expected Meta Knight to boost to Ryu's level. --- Demyx is better than Axel. |

Wario is NOT cool and is WEAKER than Falcon but Wario was only hit by
SFF while Captain Falcon was hit by DOUBLE-SFF AND LFF. That is the

I admit, I'm surprised that L-Block was actually able to come back and
beat Ryu. The match was going according to plan until that happened.
Still, I am a man of my convictions and I will stick by my pick. I
foresaw L-Block losing next round and it will happen. There are

Another important thing this match brings up: there's practically no
more reasoning to consider the DKC series as respectable in strength.
If it's debatable whether DK or Diddy is the star of the DKC series,
let's look at them; DK was close to doubled by Kirby last year and
Diddy's being smoked by CF, and it's worth a thought that neither Kirby
nor especially F-Zero are very respectable in series strength here. To
be fair, Kirby/CF should have the SSB-advantage on DK/Diddy...but
looking at DKC's stars, seeing it be snubbed in the Series Contest, and

| Double SFF and LFF.... I'm not even going to start to tell you what's wrong with your wording. The point is, nothing, NOTHING pointed to Falcon being strong enough to beat Diddy, let alone tag along with Alucard while there's other Nintendo in the poll. |

Fox has been seriously underrated for a long time. He scored only 1%
less on Link than Yoshi did, he doubled Pikachu (2003, and with SFF,
but it's still something that Dante, Leon, and Amaterasu together

The point is, nothing, NOTHING pointed to Falcon being strong enough to beat Diddy Nothing could've pointed to Falcon being strong enough to beat Diddy, because Diddy's never been here before. At least say Donkey Kong. (And even then, you'd have to be arguing for Donkey Kong to win a close match...) |

Pikachu only got far last year by being the only Nintendo character and everyone else LFFing each other (Dante/Leon and Tidus/Vivi and Tidus/Serge). Pikachu will not have that luxury anymore.
