if Zidane goes and gets 18% in round 2, I'll be happy to admit I was wrong. but it's not going to happen. Why? Arguing about an increase from a minimally hyped game without the voting base having played it. Only from Zack fans I guess. Uh, are you insinuating that I wouldn't be making this argument if I wasn't a Zack fan? If so, you're completely wrong. I'm not even that big a Zack fan after playing through Crisis Core. I'm more or less rebutting your argument about Crisis Core not being able to do much for Zack because it's a PSP game and therefore not enough people have played it to make a difference. By extension, you're more or less saying that people have to play a game in order for it to make a difference on them caring about a character. Don't even try and compare BRAWLFEAR to Crisis Core. No players don't
need to play a game for characters in it to receive a boost, but in the
case of Zack, I'm going to say it's borderline stupid. Times when we've seen characters improving without actually having a release yet are what? Brawl, Halo 3, Sunshine? What do these three have in common? Absolutely massive marketing campaigns that you couldn't ignore if you wanted to. They were literally jammed down everyone's throats, and people were creaming their pants over it weeks, and in some cases months before it ever even came out. That didn't happen with Crisis Core. I'm still of the opinion that Zack is, and should be, the favorite against Zidane however. --- hungry like the wolf |

Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core. You're concentrating more on it
being a PSP game and less on it being a Final Fantasy VII game. That
alone means its already got the attention of the fanbase. Same for

The difference, here, as EC said, is that they had huge marketing campaigns to go along with massive hype. Perhaps not, but, you know, people can be fans of Zack without having
ever heard of Crisis Core- he's one of the most important characters
storywise in FFVII, and the story really doesn't make sense if you
don't know that he exists. As for the loyalty of the FFVII fanbase,
just look at the 24% who called it their favorite game. Zack has plenty
of fans from FFVII itself; these won't abandon him for Link quite so
