Oh yes that favorite of board favorites Geno oops there goes a few more brain cells The first hour was his best. Phoenix's best was 4-5am Match trends depend entirely on the opponents. Geno has a strong board vote, meaning Phoenix's board vote looks weaker as compared to his board votes last year. Geno is the first guy he's been up against aside from Gordon that has a really strong board vote. |

Wow, Mario/Knux/Zelda all look really good in that match pic. Phoenix is falling pretty hard now. He's much closer to his last year numbers, and this is around the point when Phoenix started to get a little "help", if you know what I mean, to keep up with Bomberman. So it looks like he'll fall below his last year percentage after all. Geno going up with the ASV. Not something I expected, but then again, it's not like anyone else here has a great ASV (Bowser only benefitting because everyone else is so bad obv) Bowser still on a rampage. 45% will be reached after-all, which was actually the absolute worst I saw Bowser doing (yeah i had high hopes big whoop wanna fight about it). --- Moltar Status: augh Bowser/Deckard/Geno/Phoenix - Bracket: Bowser > Phoenix - Vote: Bowser (12/20) |

Who knows? 06:00 | 42.89% | 17.02% | 10.95% | 29.14% ...What in the world happened here with Geno? That is downright pathetic. And Bowser really took off. He doesn't look too bad now. For the record, Bowser is currently getting 75.59% on Deckard Cain, 73.46% on Geno, and 65.05% on Phoenix Wright. Yeah, that seems better for Bowser. Phoenix Wright is getting 62.47% on Deckard Cain and 59.79% on Geno. Geno is getting 52.81% on Deckard Cain. --- Squall Leonhart's Path to the CBVII Championship Round 1: CATS, Nathan Drake, Yoshi |

I am still holding out hope that Link SFFs Sonic Team more than Mario
does. I mean... it seems weird still that Shadow would get 45% on Mario
and then suddenly Knuckles would get hit hard by SFF like Shadow got
hit by... or maybe Shadow's just weaker than Knuckles now. Division 2, Match 3 Fei Fong Wong This is one of the surprises of the contest, in my opinion. I don’t know if anyone really expected him to be here. I don’t recall a rally for him of any kind, but I’m sure Xenogears fans are pleased that an entry finally made it. Unfortunately, Fei has been put into an unwinnable position. I think he’ll make the most of it and do well because I believe Xenogears fans will be hardcore enough to support him, but he won’t do anything but get last unless Mario SFFs Zelda into the ground like Link did last year, which ain’t likely. Knuckles the Echidna Knuckles will get to continue his reputation as the Square Killer because he’ll at least beat Fei, right? Anyway, Knux had a disappointing contest last year, needing a day time comeback to beat Rikku in the first match of the contest. It’s possible he may have even lost that match had Vaan not been in the poll. Some people (like me) thought he could even give Yoshi a fight, but we were wrong. This year will probably be one of his toughest fights to get out of the first round, and he’s had some tough ones in the past. Basically, Knuckles won’t be able to advance in his own power. He has to hope that the Mario/Zelda SFF is bad enough for him to sneak through. Here’s hoping it happens! Mario Mr. Nintendo is back, fresh off of his first major console release since the first contest, and we know what happened then! Super Mario Galaxy was much more well-received than Mario Sunshine (and most games, for that matter), so we’ll see how much it helps him. Of course, he’s also coming off of a role in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, so he’s involved in two of the site’s biggest releases in the last year. Certainly a favorable position Mario’s in. He shouldn’t have too much trouble placing first in this fourpack by a wide margin. His toughest competition is also from Nintendo, so he’ll be dealing out the LFF to keep Zelda at bay. No worries for the plumber…yet. Zelda The titular (what a funny word…) character from the Legend of Zelda character is back for her fifth contest and third in a row! Like Knuckles, she’s never failed to get past the first round, but last year was the first time she was really challenged straight out of the gate. Vincent put the hurt on her last year, and Mario will be here to put an even bigger hurt on her and give her some SFF to add insult to injury. In my opinion, Zelda is a little weaker in this format because she relies primarily on name value for her strength. When you give people more options to choose from, I think that name value lessens. Her match with Vincent last year seemed to confirm that (at least in my mind). I think Mario will SFF her enough for Knuckles to squeak by into the second round. SFF Overwhelms Her Can’t Advance Here To Our Amusement Fei Fong Wong – 16.60% Knuckles the Echidna – 25.77% Mario – 35.08% Zelda – 22.55% --- Squall Leonhart's Path to the CBVII Championship Round 1: CATS, Nathan Drake, Yoshi |

Either way, there's no way there's enough people that actually
prefer Zelda to Mario enough to not let her get SFF'd to the point
where the hardcore Sonic fans can't propel Knuckles to victory. You'd think that there would be tons of hardcore Sonic character fans, but nothing in these fourway matches have proved as much. I thought Knux was as much a fan fave as Yoshi and would do well in this format, but that obviously didn't happen last year. I only picked him over Zelda because he's freakin' Knuckles and it's well worth losing the point! --- Proud Supporter of Zero |
