Some Common Stat Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote, because the Zelda fanbase so clearly sided with him. However, take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make total sense. This has caused a few SFF jokes, with LordOfDabu's "Some Frivolous Factor" being the funniest of them. X-Stats - Short form of Extrapolated Statistics, aka the mathematical "strength" of a contestant that can be determined based on their performance in any given matchup. See above for a detailed explanation of the x-stat process. rSFF (Reverse Same Fanbase Factor): An unproven theory that states that an SFF match will feature the expected weaker character receiving more benefit from SFF than the stronger character. For example, all evidence supports Samus being indirectly stronger than Mario, yet Mario blew Samus away during their 2005 match. That's rSFF in action, and the one case we have of the weaker statistical character winning with it. For other information, surf the contest sites a bit. | I'm really impressed at how well Geno is managing
to slow down the rate at which his lead is dropping. When I first saw
his lead dropping about 2 hours ago, I thought he would have been
totally overtaken by Cain now, but he's still hanging in with a lead of
415 votes. I am confident that Geno can hold out until the morning vote

Luster, why are you so interested in Geno vs. Deckard Cain? Well, I don't want Geno to overtake Cain because it will hurt my Oracle prediction. At first my Oracle prediction looked pretty solid, now it's not so solid anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if Geno has a worse day vote than he does though. Deckard's got a realistic chance of beating out Geno for third place here. Bowser's performance looks pretty bad considering Luigi only did 2% worse than this against much better competition, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. I think Geno is PROBABLY LFFing him. We'll see next round. If Bowser bombs, he's officially just a big 4-way turd. Either way, if Geno's making him look like this, I can't see Liquid not beating at least ONE of them, if not both of them. Official stats from yesterday: Luigi – 50.00% Liquid Snake – 45.47% Roxas – 32.51% Sho Minamimoto – 16.96% For the record, so far Bowser is getting 73.39% on Deckard, 72.00% on Geno, and...60.33% on Phoenix Wright? Yeah, I'm pretty sure Bowser's getting LFF'd. For the record, Magus managed 56.30% on Phoenix Wright last year in the first round. Still, there's plenty of time for Bowser to go up and Phoenix to go down. Phoenix Wright is getting 64.45% on Deckard and 62.84% on Geno. Geno is getting 51.75% on Deckard. this, I think. Bowser looked kinda-sorta bad initially, but he should
be up to speed by the time everyone here gets done bombing. My slight
Bowser lean from yesterday has changed to a definite Luigi lean though,
and I'm pretty sure the split will be so even that Liquid coming in

Then I was hooked. well I mean I got stuck because the game is so damn linear that one small detail wasn't letting me progress and I'll be damned if I'm checking an FAQ to find out what it was. -_-' I did really enjoy the 2nd case and the 1st case so I can't see why I wouldn't enjoy more...
