What in the unholy oh god I love this contest Altair/Zack in round 3 might be interesting at this rate... but then blowing out Isaac and Lucario may not be worth much, especially if they're hurting each other. Wait, are you guys really arguing Zidane will be able to beat Zack next round. Let me rephrase this for you stooges - Zack an FFVII character will be bested by Zidane, an FFIX
character. I don't think so. Zidane is still fodder no matter how you
slice it. Zack is stronger and the SFF will benefit him. All Zidane
will do is hold Zack back like Cecil did in Round 1. Zidane still gets
third though. I'm skeptical Wario even gets 5%. Jesus Christ, no wonder

I'm not considering Zidane > Zack because I think there was some
crazy stuff going on with Link and Shadow (and hence Zidane isn't
really any better than he ever was), and because FFVII >>>

| I'm actually rooting for Isaac here. If he's in the next round, that gives Marth free reign to perform the best he can, and he's more likely to finish first, which is worth more than the 2 points I get for Lucrapio finishing second here. |

I repeat, you all disappoint me. We've already seen so many crazy upsets. We may have 1st Round data now, but seriously, Isaac over Lucario? That makes no sense in EVERY WAY. Pokemon>Golden Sun, and Lucario was even in Brawl. And it's happening. I said earlier that getting rid of any possible slim upset was stupid. I think I'm being proven right. Zack has the advantage, yes. 100% advantage? I'm not seeing Nintendo decreasing after what Marth did yesterday. He let Duke Nukem take the lead on him before the Nintendo vote. You're seeing what you want to see out of that Rorschach (as are others, but two differing wrong assessments don't make a right). Eh, FF7 has proven time and time agian that you can't **** with it.
Seph and Cloud being Juggernauts they are(Cmon, They Beat ******* Mario

Hanging around or going toe to toe with NN peeps(and inVincent's Case,

Uhh...why would Isaac hurt Marth less than Lucario? Brawl? Isn't helping Lucario much right now. (Didn't help Wario much either.) Meanwhile Golden Sun and Fire Emblem are both Nintendo RPGs that first hit the US on the GBA. |

I never considered him even in the running to take down Marth, and I'm not sure why others did - Marcus Fenix and Revolver Ocelot are not impressive characters. Niko is a GTA character in today's contests where being a GTA character means constantly disappointing (and more importantly, an unknown quantity), and it's still just Duke Nukem. You can't just go and say, "oh, that must mean that X was stronger than I thought" when it's just as possible that Y is weaker than you thought. --- turnturnturn your brain in turnturnturn your brain in |

that wasnt Zidane's strength; it was Shadow's weakness. so your point is moot. I'm pretty sure KP's point is that despite having seen the characters before, we didn't predict what happened. What I love about this contest especially is that so far characters who
normally get no love and get slaughtered in 1v1 formats are actually
getting their moment in the sun. Zidane, Duke, and now Isaac and
showing that they do have at least some strength with their surprising
runs, and it's great to see these normally 13-level seeds beating

KamikazePotato (#229) i'm not being close-minded. you're being paranoid simply because of a hard division being thrown at us at the very beginning. you cannot entertain an upset as 'up in the air' simply because of our brackets and i will stand by this. sure, this match obviously throws that in the grinder, but at least with Zidane and Zack, we've seen them in action. there is simply no reason Zidane should win outside of Zack's fanbase being abandoned which is very, very slim. i'm not saying it's impossible but it's just slim. --- *is Dranze* Altair/Guybrush/Isaac/Lucario - Bracket: Lucario > Altair - Vote: Lucario (6/12) |
