Hell no can you take Lucario > Marth next round after seeing this. If a single person was taking that I'd be floored. I'm gonna go ahead and say Altair > Duke goes down... with little faith in any combination other than Lucario finishing dead last. --- hungry like the wolf |

| At this point, I'd say its a given Altair makes round 3. He'll easily get through the nintendo SFF imo over Duke. |

I'd say Altair, Duke and Marth are all in the argument for placing.
Altair seems like a lock with Duke and Marth fighting for second, with

I think Altair's four-pack is slightly stronger... but you have to
remember the possibility of Zack getting hurt and Isaac/Lucario

Issac/Lucario/Guybrush or Cecil/Jade/Wario. Who's tougher? If you say the later I can't really see Altair > Zack, if it's the former, Altair could still be hindered by Duke's presence enough that Zack still wins should he be there. If Marth makes it though... oh yes. I'm just gonna root for Altair > Marth next round for epic Zack/Altair battle. --- hungry like the wolf |

Do you guys think that Zacks 4pack, or Altairs 4pack was stronger? To see who was truly more impressive in round 1. Can't really say who's is stronger, but Zack's win is the more impressive of the two. Another Square character in the poll, Wario being unique against a split Nintendo vote and Altair being unique -- and Lucario not getting anywhere near his expectations -- should favor Zack a good bit. Easy way to look at is to stick Zack in this poll. He's probably rocking this harder than Altair. --- let's mosey |

ugh I saw Marth / Niko (heh) / Lucario / Altair coming, and I thought "No way both Ninty chars make it through" ...then I thought "But I just can't see Altair taking first" I liked this better last year when I was too late to make a bracket |

It's very hard to picture Zidane scoring nearly 45% in that poll. Sure,
Wario may look even now than he did three days ago, but Zack still
sapped Cecil like maple syrup. Could Zidane have managed that? And now

Uh, obviously Altair will be advancing to Round 3. That much should
have been obvious from the get-go. The real question lies in the
Altair/Zack battle. Zack is probably slightly stronger and would win
one-on-one. Altair has strength comparable to Kratos. This is a fact.
I've said it before. No more denying facts I have presented to you.
Characters like Kratos, Marcus, Ryu H., MC and Altair thrive
in this format. This will allow Altair to make it through Round 3. Zack
will be humbled next round. Zack would get around 65% on Wario. But
remember that Wario is fodder. Shadow got that on Wario and Shadow is
also fodder. I'm not saying that Zack is fodder but he's got strength

I recently played Golden Sun and didn't think Isaac was all that great, and I even voted for Lucario at the start.. And I'm -still- rooting for the man with the hand. |

Beating Wario by 11% > barely beating a weak Shadow that was being SFFd into the ground by Link. Then again, I'm wary to call anything a foregone conclusion any more, but if Zidane gets out of this division, I'm closing my account and leaving this dump forever. |

Not even a matter of whether or not there was a Brawl boost. And when it comes to SFF, it's FFVII vs. FFIX, regardless of the significance of the roles. Just can't see Zidane hanging against Zack. Zidane needs to gobble up some of the blind final fantasy support Zack
got, and Link needs to gobble up some of the apathetic votes Zack got
for Zidane to win that match. Zack should be the clear favorite, no
doubt. I'd put Zidane's chances around 20%. --- can you dig it? |
