| I don't see how anyone can't like 4 way. With 1v1, half the matches in first round are borefest blowouts with nothing exciting going on. But even in a Link match this year, we had exciting matches to keep up with during it. |

there's one way to look at this that's convenient, but I don't know what to say about it: Pikachu got 36% on Tidus/Isaac/Serge and 34% on Leon/Dante/Amaterasu. this has bothered me for like a year now - I don't care how bad the Capcom SFF or whatever is, that's way better competition. the only explanation I could come up with is that Isaac was hurting Pikachu, something I thought was stupid but whatever. well, here you have Isaac and Lucario getting creamed by Altair. I am lovin this. I voted Altair just because he looks cool and because people scream Assassin!! at him clearly that's where the votes are coming from. I voted for Altair too. I'm not really sure why. Before everyone jumps on the Lucario is fodder bandwagon, I should
point out that based on an adjusted Samus, Isaac himself is potentially
not fodder. Just throwing that out there. That being said, he probably

Except that the people saying it wasn't up in the air were arguing for Lucario > Isaac because "no one liked Assassin's Creed", so I don't think you have too much room for gloating here. Except the argument I made was that the 1st and 2nd place finishers are both completely new entrants to the field, and as a result it was completely stupid to say that, because we had no idea where they stood. These upsets wouldn't exist 1v1, and we'd have yet more stale lifeless matches. Stale interesting matches can still be part of building up tension and narratives in a traditional contest. Plus, seeds help make upsets feel more epic. I don't know, I guess the whole process just feels more intimate and *intense* to me when things are one on one. We'll probably have to agree to disagree on this one. Besides reworking Division 1 into a normal format we get: 1) Link 16) Luke fon Fabre 8) Shadow 9) Zidane 5) Zack 12) Cecil 4) Wario 13) Cecil 6) Kefka 11) Marth 3) Niko 14) Duke 7) Lucario 10) Isaac 2) Altair 15) Guybrush Every upset except for ZIdane > Shadow most likely still happens. --- "The builders never understand how their creations truly feel."--Shadow the Hedgehog |

I prefer Lucrapio personally And I figured Lucario would be useless. Noone cares about Pokemon outside of the original 151 and Mudkip. I just figured Altair & co would be weak enough that it wouldn't matter. Though all this Nintendo failure is making me glad I went against the big N in a lot of key matches. |
