I don't see how comparing Altair to Niko is delusional. They are going
to be drawing from the same fanbase, and honestly Assassin's Creed
wasn't as well received as GTAIV, nor is it even close to as popular. And I've got confidence in this because I think Lucario's going to destroy some people next round, after Marth destroys people this round. I think whatever Brawl vote Marth DOES get will get him through, and Lucario's still gonna have Pokemon support to get him in first. And I usually don't agree with Turtle, but he's spot on about the Tales characters. To say nothing of Altair (of which comparisons to Niko are at this point frankly delusional). Don't mean this condescendingly (I haven't played either game), but can you please tell me why? Both are main characters from hyped 360/PS3 games that sold well but failed to live up to expectations among the gaming community at large. Altair has the cooler look, but Niko obviously has the bigger sales pool and the GTA name behind him. We dont really know how strong Proto really is(and we got people saying
X is as strong as MM? wtf). I cant seem to recall any match he had that

Altair has the cooler look, but Niko obviously has the bigger sales pool and the GTA name behind him. The GTA name is a burden on characters here. There's little doubt GTA has a much higher playrate than the WC series here, but antivotes contributed significantly (though were not the primary cause) of its downfall. Obviously antivotes don't mean as much here, but people are generally apathetic on GTA here despite how much it's played. Or, to put it another way - seriously, Vercetti and CJ sucking it up for years didn't spell Altair's downfall, and Niko certainly doesn't do that either. --- turnturnturn your brain in turnturnturn your brain in |

FAR better than Jade, GG characters have at least Some form of a fanbase. Clearly, we got to rally Chipp next year. He's the only GG character I see that never gets hate. --- Warning, there is a bear right behind you. Ride Him. |

Clearly, we got to rally Chipp next year. He's the only GG character I see that never gets hate. I'd be down with that. Which means that comparing ANY game to GTA in sales and positing that said character should be weaker because of the sales is a fallacy, at least here. And don't forget that we've seen this before - Ryu Hayabusa is a perfect example of a character whose strength is not representative at ALL of the strength of his games. You take away his badass ninja design, and you take a huge portion of his strength with it. If Altair bombs, so be it, but it will be the biggest surprise of the contest to me thus far (whoever thought that statement could have so much gravity four matches in!). --- turnturnturn your brain in turnturnturn your brain in |

According to Vgchartz, 2.59 M in the US and 3.90 M worldwide (including
the US). I assume this pools together all the different versions. But
we all know that sales isn't everything in this contest. Not sure if
reviews matter more but Assassin's Creed did have mediocre reviews. Back to the poll, man Niko just isn't getting any traction around here. Any chance of at least a small turnaround in the morning? |

unlikeable is a rather opinionated term when used on characters. Most of the newer SNOIC characters are unlikeable(to me), but that much fan art and blah blah blah on the Internet say otherwise 0_o --- Warning, there is a bear right behind you. Ride Him. |
