Please, neither Tails or Cube will have a chance. As much as I would
want Tails to go through (I mean, I'll be voting for him), he never
delivers. And the cube, that's from Portal right? I know many of you
love that game but to be honest in the general gaming population that
game is rather fringe. And a joke character. And that's not a good

Even if I Zidane is 1000 times a better main character than Tidus,
Tidus is easily more popular than Zidane, and even if Tails is 1000
times a better character than Shadow, Shadow is easily more popular

Having faith in Henshin a go go Baby over a character everyone has
heard about was stupid from day 1, I never understood why the board

I actually liked both Zidane and Tidus more than Cloud and Squall, I
felt they had more character, better defined backstories than clones
and orphanages and they actually had a sense of humour. Zidane
especially though as I think he combined the entertainment of Tidus
with the courage of Squall and Leadership of Cloud. He just seems like
the most well rounded hero in FF and it's always confused me why he's

Shadow is easily more popular than Tails I wouldn't be so sure though, atleast I think there are more people that really like Tails than there are people really liking Shadow. Tails has in a way a bigger hardcore fanbase. --- B.B. Hood for CB -09 The apples were too strong for him. |

I wonder if we'll see a lead switch in the coming hour or so? It'd make
the match my favorite in a while if the entire thing stayed so neck and
neck all day tomorrow. I have a feeling Marth is just gonna vacuum the
entire day vote and stay above danger, though. The others will be more

I still say having Duke Nukem was a dumb pick. He's never done anything

I think Duke is SFFing Kefka some how. Maybe the night voters that

I'm not surprised that the Duke is doing great with the "Europe" vote. Over here it has always been: It's the freaking Duke! And no Having Duke above Kefka was not dumb, Kefka has been in what 6 contests now and in everyone of them he have failed. (Barely winning over Pac-man, lossing big to Knuckles and Diablo, only were close to Vercetti thanks to a cheater, lossing to Marcus Fenix in two rounds, and might lose to Niko this year.) . --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. Actually round 1 was pre Orange Box if I recall correctly. And basically, if Duke holds in this match it's a case of a blind squirrel finding nuts sometimes, really. I just don't see the logic in picking Duke here, and I don't think I've seen a single coherent argument for it that didn't involve something dumb like saying GFNW was worth like 25% on BL like 2006 stats give you. I thought Duke only won because his opponents were scrubs (which they
were). However, I don't think Duke loses his recognizably quite that
easily. It may take some characters with actual strength before Duke

Duke's never been weak so I don't know where your undervaluing of him
comes from. He pulled 20% off Cloud at his peak and showed last year
that he eats up this format. Or if you don't want to believe Duke
strength then just believe that Niko, Kefka and Marth suck ass which is

WTF does Europe have to do with anything? Well, Brawl is not never as popular in Europe as it is in the US. I mean, people like it, but I do think that Mario Kart might actually be a more significant boost for characters than Smash Bros. And Fire Emblem is like a non factor. Wouldn't be surprised if more people have play a Tales game than a Fire Emblem game in Europe. Concerning Kefka, we didn't even get FF6 until the PS1 port and anything pre-VII has always been fairly fringe. Also, RPG's in general have never really been doing impressive numbers ever, the genre has a sizable chunk of genre fans but outside of that few really cares. And when it comes to Niko, people in Europe are notoriously slow on the uptake. And GTA4 has only been out 6 months. Duke however is a cult character. That's the one people remember from their childhood as THE badass character. As much as I hate him personally, Europe is prolly Duke's stronghold. --- B.B. Duke's record involves getting 65-35ed by midcarders and beating Iori Yagami.
Not exactly anything impressive, I'm afraid. Granted, he's never choked
away any close matches like Kefka, but he's never had any. Either he

Yeah but I think the difference is that the Duke Nukem series stopped,
while Tomb Raider went on and on and on. I doubt that Lara Croft would
