I really don't think that Tails deserve to be called a choke. I mean
when did he really disappoint anyone? Maybe when he lost to Alucard in
2002, but after that Tails has either been in an impossible to win
situation or doing better than expected. I mean Tidus went from being close to noble nine to Pikachu fodder, and DK might hold the record for lossing debatable matches, while Tails has always done just about what you could expect from him. --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. Tails beat Viewtiful Joe, a guy I had never heard of until the contests. Tails lost to The Boss, a useless boss from the worst Metal Gear Solid. |

the point was that tails pulled off a win when he wasn't the favorite.
he has exactly one choke, and it was worth no points. that's not really

One thing I NEVER understood was how Joe was the favourite in that
match. Where the hell did that come from? I don't remember Viewtiful
Joe being even remotely popular back then. Was that a Board 8 thing,
like Phoenix Wright? What got me was the bracket setting up a VJ/Dante matchup in the second round. Given how closely those two were tied, I figured Joe would be close to where Dante was in his first contest. Especially given how critically acclaimed his game was. So Ceej set me up for failure just by doing that, especially with all the other SFF matches he set up that year. Plus there was a stigma that nobody cared about Tails, given he was Alucard and Auron fodder the previous two years. Nothing would have led me to believe that Alucard was more popular than Tails, but this was GameFAQs so you never know... But yeah, it was more Tails being a failure in these contests than anything else. like Phoenix Wright? Joe was actually above the fodder line by a fair bit in 2004. Yeah, I'm not entirely sure why either. That being said, I chose Tails and never had serious doubts, except for when I found out Viewtiful Joe for the PS2 was getting released right before the match. And here's something I've wanted to say about DK. DK is considered a poor contest performer because he always loses close matches, while Frog is considered a good contest performer because he always wins close matches. Now which of these honestly seems better. Almost winning matches that you were never supposed to have a shot at, or almost losing matches you were supposed to have in the bag. --- You need to meet someone at a garden, or a movie or something. Why do people think Midna is a lock to advance this year? She was a
huge choke last year, and shes weaker then ever now cuz who cares about
TP anymore? She will most likely advance, but she doesnt have a first

I have Axel Steel advancing there Midna was very disappointing last year, getting creamed by Scorps like that, Axel doesn't need to be strong to advance, and he's pretty much the face of Guitar Hero. |
