...ha. woo female bracket. regardless, it went 56.5-43.5 in Vincent's favour. No one should have expected differently, imo. I have no idea why people were putting so much faith into Zelda (well actually I do, but lol female bracket and ZSS). Zelda had never proven to be anywhere close to Vincent's level, yet all of a sudden everyone thought it sounded good for some reason. Kinda like why I've never understood the Ganon/Zelda arguments, but at least that has some wacky SFF involved that could potentially make things interesting. She's just not that strong. --- Feeding the children since 1979. |

you know, if Zelda actually gets by Knuckles (and by a good bit), is it
possible she could slip by X IF a Mario vs X match would be more of a

I'm really intrigued by Mario's and MMX's matches together, especially
with all the other Nintendo interference in every match they share.
Mudkip (and probably Zelda by my guess) will be in their first
encounter, then likely Luigi and Bowser share the next match...then
Link (and a small chance of Lucario) will be greeting them after that.
We, by all means, shouldn't get a clear reading on how MMX holds up in
comparison to MM...and if they share fanbases like we think, then
seeing how they all hold up to one-another should be fun in its own

I dunno if it's gonna be as favorable for Mudkip > Zelda as you suggest: http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2901 Zelda's "only" losing to Bidoof by 5.49%...and Link's in the poll. Mario shouldn't SFF Zelda nearly as much, Mario will take less percentage of the poll than Link, and MMX may not be as strong as Vincent...so that's more percentage up for grabs; if Pokemon are fairly static and woouldn't gain much from that, then that's a small advantage for Zelda there too. I don't care if Bidoof or Mudkip is stronger, they're gonna be about the same in this kind of situation anyway... http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2903 ...Mudkip should probably still be favored since he was 6.09% under Ganon when Luigi was in the poll and Mario is going to hurt Zelda worse than that, but I don't think it's a "hundred times more likely" or anything. it's a simple matter of percentages. Mudkip picked up a good 25%
against two much stronger Nintendo characters. now he's facing two more

I don't either, but I don't think Mudkip is going to wind up too far
ahead of Zelda and we don't know how well Zelda will hold up to Mario
yet. If Knuckles can't keep it close with her in the first round (say,
within 4%), then she has a shot at third. It's hard to argue much about
it until after the first round though...haha, and it's still an

If Mudkip can't get past Luigi and Ganondorf, he's not getting past

Luigi and Ganondorf split the vote evenly, though, and there was a weak
fourth in Vergil. if Mario hurts MMX like Link hurt Zero last year,

Also, if Mudkip was to pull that crazy upset and Lucario could pull his
more-reasonable upset, we could see Link/Mario/Lucario/Mudkip...the
first time we'd ever see some Pokemanz-on-manz action. That would also

division ends with your own preferences? Link > Duke Nukem Knuckles > Mario Scorpion > GlaDOS Ike > Diddy Kong Solid > Mega Man (hooray, this one's realistic!) We've seen Mega Man smash Yoshi into oblivion before yet fail to SFF
Yoshi anywhere near close enough for Knuckles to beat him last
year...and, while Mario > Mega Man, Zelda > Yoshi and I don't
think Mario could SFF Zelda like MM did Yoshi. All of that doesn't
necessarily mean much, but I like Zelda's odds based on that. Given that Rikku gave Knuckles a scare, and he and Yoshi had a similar ratio between the two rounds, I think it's safe to say Yoshi and Knuckles were hurting eachother as well. You don't go from beating Magus (albeit overrated turd Magus) and almost going even with Squall to nearly being beat by Rikku (with Vaan in the poll to boot). |

in the poll to boot). To be fair, I'd take Rikku over Magus in an upset. She's not really that far below Knux... she drew only a little less against Ryu than Knux did against Squall. Squall > Ryu, yes, but not by a huge margin. Oh, I guess Balthier is in Scorpion's division... though I dunno, I
haven't been quite as fond of Balthier lately... I might actually vote
Scorpion in that match... he just doesn't seem to have a lasting

Nobody answered my question on what everyone thinks of Roxas? You think
he can get past Liquid? And if so can he pass either Bowser/Luigi

I think pre-MGS4 maybe Roxas would beat Liquid, but I think with the
recency of MGS4 Liquid should be boosted enough to win there. I'm
convinced that even with Luigi/Bowser SFF, they're both so much
