| I still think Vincent/Crono 2005 was as legit as you can get. Everything seems to add up when you take Advent Children giving Vinny an extra % or 2 into consideration. Really, when has Crono ever been in an SFF situation with any Square character not on the SNES? I think Zidane flopping last year really put that match into perspective as well. |

Protoman's so irrelevant at this point that he's not gonna make a
contest without a big rally. it's friggin' Protoman, if people liked
him he would have returned by now it's like using the old Cloud:Sephiroth::Mega Man:Dr. Wily argument to say Dr. Wily would be really strong --- xyzzy |

Wily should beat Protoman fairly easily. Villains always beat NPCs, and
Wily`s in way more games (and is more well-liked in general, in my

Protoman (2004c) VS Dr. Wily (2005v) Protoman has a strength of 19.21. Dr. Wily has a strength of 21.53. Dr. Wily wins with 55.39% of the vote! A win of 7,817 with 72,541 total votes cast. Despite Zero/Protoman SFF, which by all rights is basically equal to Peach/Daisy SFF with 2 characters that are closer in strength. |

Terra > Dante is the type of "logic" that people used in bull **** like Kerrigan > Vincent, or Kuja winning his fourpack. I have this weird feeling Ryu Hayabusa is going to blindside us and beat Zero. Then I also have this weird feeling Zero is going to rSFF Mega Man, if he makes it that far. Needless to say, I'm a bit conflicted about that division. The biggest upset I see, though, will be Master Chief beating Sephiroth and Cloud in the semis. Diddy? He's pretty much guarenteed to go to round 2 and lose there. My money is on Ryu in Samus/Vinny/Crono/Ryu, but I can admit it's a longshot pick. And Samus > Mario was the result of using too much logic and not enough common sense, which is probably better than Kerrigan > Vincent. And it's funny that you should mention Terra > Dante, because as I recall, one of the main "arguments" of that was the Villain:Hero relationship argument. |

If you want a real answer, I think MMX bombing would cause a stir.
Though not as much a stir as it would cause if he beats Mario in that
lovely little SMB match. Another possibility is Squall in Cloud/Squall/Mewtwo/Yoshi. Everything in my head is telling me that Squall is going to get pummeled into the ground, but there's still this nagging feeling that there's going to be more to this than meets the eye. |

| Personally, I think Lucario's the favorite there
(but Niko will show him), but I did forget he is the really easy

I want to take Auron > Sonic, but the thing is, if Sonic's weakness
and Auron's strength is the format, then Auron must be relying on Magus
and Sub-Zero to win. I doubt there'd be a substantial amount of
Auron/Magus LFF (less than Crono/Vincent LFF, which I believe was
relatively minor and probably less than Link/Crono LFF), but I just
can't see Magus being in the poll actually helping Auron here. I don't
think Sub-Zero's presence is enough to make up the gap, considering

| Well, there's obviously more overlap between Clall than Mewshi. But the last time we saw Cloud/Squall was back in 2004. Squall has really improved since then, and I can't see him getting trounced nearly as bad this time. Still... |
