Division 5 Well, the Cube gets screwed with its fourpack. Lots of brawl fodder too, and wtf @ Sackboy being in when his game isn't even out. Snake and MM lay waste to this division, though MM/Zero reuniting in the division finals? Division 6 Poor Tim and CATS gets a bad placement again. Last fourpack is a bit of a mess. Sora/Fox/Squall/Yoshi is a shame because two have to be eliminated pretty early. Because analyzing the bracket and trying to figure out what happens
is more interesting than actually *seeing* Character X beat Character Y? Or, an interesting, difficult bracket is still possible with characters that matter? --- caps |

I love how Raiden is completely wasted AGAIN. Easy second in round 1...

Bowser looked like crap last year while Luigi did probably his best ever. I honestly have Luigi > Liquid at this point. --- Demyx is better than Axel. Just like Explicit Content is better than me for winning the Guru contest. |

Just thinking out loud here but with the way gaming is shaping up right
now, I wonder if we could ever get enough new characters that could
make a huge impact here (even in a 4-way match). Obviously, we get a
ton of sequels of the more established characters but the newer ones I
don't know. How much attachment can someone really have for a character
in a FPS? For the non-FPS games, the characters seem plainer and far
too similar to each other. For example, the lead characters from
Uncharted, Dead Rising, Bioshock aren't THAT distinctive. Not to
mention that some of the more popular games lets you customize what is
essentially a blank slate main character. Guess we'll have to switch to
games instead of characters for a while to freshen things up a bit. --- Playing: Professor Layton and the Curious Village |

| I'm just starting to look at the bracket, but I love the first match... it's hard to imagine a match better designed for Zack to win. Jade Curtiss and Cecil are both weak as Sin, and Wario's not exactly a powerhouse. |

Division 7 This looks to be the easiest division on paper. We know what MC can do, and Kirby should look good away from the l-block. Riku/Leon/Dante could be interesting. Everything Else Link/Mario/MMX sff fun time oh geez @ Vincent and Crono meeting again, oh and l-block to ruin things of course Cloud/Seph/Snake/Sonic ooooooooooooh and then a familiar final match Overall: Train wreck of a bracket with waaay too much fodder and jokes. Again, it's hard to predict, but there are a crap load of characters not worth caring for. Some characters are flat out wasted and others will go several rounds undeservedly. Well, Dante and Kirby are my two favorite VG characters ever... and MC is the greatest guy to root for in these contests ever. Basically, all of my favorites are stacked in that one division... with a bunch of garbage swarming others. Yay. MC should beat Sonic. Look at last year. MC just looked better all
year. Unless you think Halo 3 being released during the contest gave
him a temporary spike or Sonic's going to have a hefty boost from Brawl

Looking through my first submission (which I probably will change
several times), there are a handful of really good matches that I can't

Mewtwo has a damn good spot in the bracket. He's going to be stuck in a
Cloud/Squall/Sora SFF fest that should let him get into the quarter

I don't know if just the Squall/Sora split is enough for Yoshi. When

Sonic now got Brawl and he will get a new game during the contest,
which will most likely be good (BioWare are RPG pros, how can it not be
good) and then there's Sonic Unleashed. Which will be released just about a week after his match against MC, correct. Well I bet some hype can help him. MC can win, but Sonic should be the favourite.
