This discussion has probably been done like a million times but I don't read these topics in off-seasons <_<. If it is a 1V1 contest, where would you place L-BlocK? L-Block won't beat anyone with a fanbase. Period. Look at the first match, where it was basically the block vs. Kirby and two scrubs. It got stomped. The block takes advantage of strong characters basically hurting each other because it seems to have a rather unfazed fanbase. It will benefit when stronger characters are grouped together. | L-Block managed 30-35% in basically every match it
was in. It developed a strong board vote later on, sure, but it
basically benefited from a contingent that was determined to vote it
over anything, which is impressive to be sure. Nevertheless, it won't
be enough one-on-one. Besides, it doesn't matter when it is, the block can't manage 50% against a character with a decent fanbase. | I'm pretty inclined to go with what Leon's saying,
as I've been saying it too. Would you really feel confident taking the
L-Block one on one against say... Dante? How about Yoshi? DK? Anyone with a fanbase is going to beat him. I think a really interesting first round match would be say.... I would love to see "lol how far can you fall" Magus take down last year's champion. And Mario VS Snake seems like the new Mario VS Samus to me, you can make a lot of good points why Snake has a chance, but it's freaking Mario. --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. EC > Me |

And Mario CAN lose, you know. If Crono can beat him, I'm pretty sure Snake can. I'd actually love to see L-Block come back assuming it's 1v1. Methinks
his functional strength would be well below 40% on Kirby, though he'd
look that good or better unless put against opponents around the level
of 40% on Kirby, who he'd only pull like 45% against. from crono > mm > sonic > crono, and mario > crono >

What do you guys think Mega Man X's strength will be like? Similar to
Mega Man>Mega Man X from the series contest? Solid midcarder, or
something more? In that same respect, hypothetically, if Mega Man.EXE were to get in, what would his strength be like? I get the impression that the Battle Network/Star Force series isn't all that well liked among the general population of gamefaqs. --- You don't stand a ghost of a chance! |

X may beat Megaman head to head. But otherwise Megaman pretty much has
the advantage in all other matches. I mean most people see Megaman and

X/Zero is like Tidus/Auron, yo! X might be able to beat Zero simply
because he looks like the Blue Bomber and shares the same name. Still, this almost feels like allowing Toon Link into the contest. did 1% worse on Mega Man than Zero did, despite adding 4 other Mega
Mans to the poll. And if MM truly has dropped since 2k4, Zero probably

I'm going for the upset and say X. I don't get why anyone would vote for him, because he's an incredible lame verison of Solid Snake. I mean seriously compare those two. Naked Snake turned into a twelve year old once he saw Eve's breasts while Solid Snake told Meryl that she got cute butt. We saw what the Naked Snake picture did for Big Boss last contest.
People don't think much of Magus anymore, but he's not exactly fodder
