I wonder if SBallen would let ROB in. If so, he would pROBably be the
strongest character that didn't exist prior to last contest. ...sorta. |

| Okay, so I've realized I mixed up the timing of
KH2 for Squall and Auron. Whoops...the game came out in March 2006, and
that affected Crono/Auron afterall. That would probably explain why
Auron outdid Vincent on top of a weaker Crono that year; I can't say
the KH2-boost came after that anymore. That changes my argument a bit,
but I still think Auron's got the clear FF-edge and can interfere with
Squall's KH-fanbase enough to win. And Squall maintained pace with Vincent in spite of those things Squall had KH2 to keep up that year; it wasn't just naturally being on-par with a boosted Vincent. #1 - I think the difference between Squall and Auron's roles in KH is that KH made people who actively disliked Squall like him instead. It certainly didn't do that for Auron. #2 - I doubt very many people changed their minds about Auron because of KHII. He's basically the same character, though his role is very awesome. Good points, but I wonder how advantageous that is to Squall. Final Fantasy probably lost to Legend of Zelda in the Series Contest because of its lack of consistency for pleasing fans -- it's been said that the games are very divisive, despite most of them being among the top games for the site. I wonder if people would do that with characters, too. If so, Auron sounds like he's definitely been more consistent while Squall used to have a very strong love/hate-relationship with fans before KH came along. If our suspicions about LoZ/FF are right, there's a chance it could apply in Squall/Auron too. Best newcomer from the last year? I gotta bet on Niko. His game's
looking like the best-received GTA game to date, and Niko sounds like
he's liked better than at least CJ...and maybe closer to Vercetti; hard
to judge from my friends though. It's multi-platform and online, too,

Surely Niko must be higher than Travis at any rate. I can't think of any other newcomer with as much potential and he won't be getting those anti-votes from people who don't like the GTA:SA style of hip hop. Also from the Ads they showed in the UK they seem more focused on the main characters face,so recognition won't be a problem. --- For some reason I never know what to put here. |

Niko is probably the best of the bunch. Kaim from Lost Odyssey has a
chance to be high-end fodder, I guess. maybe Drebin from MGS4. yeah,

Altair from Assassin's Creed should stand a decent chance too. The game
sold surprisingly well, and I think that the character's fairly

How well would Rosalina do if she was to get in? She has the Mario fan
boys behind her with her appearances is Super Mario Galaxy and Mario
Kart Wii, although compared to Daisy and Peach, I'm not sure she is

Gonna make the next topic when I wake up (48 hours awake straight is

I thought about mentioning Rosalina, but I figured she'd probably only
be slightly better than Daisy at best because she was in a non-spinoff
Mario game. Squall had KH2 to keep up that year; it wasn't just naturally being on-par with a boosted Vincent. That's my point. Squall got his KHII boost, too, and if Squall can get 48% or so on Sonic (2007 contest showed us he can, too), then that's one step above 45-46% on Crono. --- "But you have been given freedom. Please don't allow Toon Link into these contests, nor Mega Man X (at
least not at the same time as Mega Man. Having some X pictures every
once in a while wouldn't hurt, Bacon!). We already saw what Toon Link

I honestly don't mind when we have a contest (though don't be
ridiculous about it), as long as we actually have one. This "Private
Board Contest" isn't going to take up so much of Bacon's time that he
can't do a Character Battle at the same time. Plus, that poll he did
earlier in the year showed that 80% of the site wanted a contest of

Oh, and I agree. Diddy is the second strongest character in that
fourpack. Couldn't see him struggling to put away Sam Fisher, though
Raiden will probably do better this year now that MGS4 is out and

With the pictures Raiden had, it's not so surprising he couldn't easily
