I wonder who's the strongest NPC,non-boss character in MGS. Campbell?(if you discount the chicken fox in MGS:PO+,Otacon?,Mei Ling? --- For some reason I never know what to put here. |

Yeah, this mini Contest announcement is... odd. However today's DG entry did include some semi-interesting data. The current top ten most tracked games right now are... Super Smash Bros. Brawl (3006) Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (2553) Grand Theft Auto IV [Xbox 360] (2518) Halo 3 (1435) Ninja Gaiden II (1393) Mario Kart Wii (1387) Pokemon Diamond (1321) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (1198) Grand Theft Auto IV [PS3] (1155) Final Fantasy XII (1145) This is data we didn't have before, because all we can tell from our vantage point is how many people have given these games a rating. Let's check how the top games are doing in terms of getting rated. Brawl - rated by 79.20% of owners, avg = 9.0 MGS4 - rated by 59.42% of owners, avg = 9.6 GTA4 - rated by 76.53% of owners, avg = 8.8 (360 version only) Halo 3 - rated by 75.54% of overs, avg = 8.3 Strong rating for MGS, but as you see there's a large number of users still playing through and withholding their rating until they finish, so that's bound to come down some once the rest of the scores roll in. --- Hot Content: thengamer.com/xstats | board8.wikia.com He isn't a killer. I reckon any game that get's a good score will always see a bunch of idiots trying to lower the score,just because. --- For some reason I never know what to put here. |

eh, games always start out high and lower over time. most people who
buy the game immediately and rate it within days are ones who liked
previous installments and couldn't wait for the sequel. MGS4 will do
fine of course, but it will probably come down a bit over time. --- xzy |

It may ended up coming down a bit, but having a 9.6 with 1500 ratings
says a lot about how people feel about the game. Don't think any other
game is that high with a similar amount of ratings. --- Where there are cardboard boxes, there will always be Solid Snake. |

And now for something totally unreleated: I miss the days when I ZFS/HM
fanboyism really stood out, now he's just another Metal Gear drone. Besides Ghost Babel will always be the best Metal Gear and Snatcher is Hideo Kojima's real masterpiece. </Opinion> --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. EC > Me |

| I wouldn't be surprised. Original's games of note only appear on the NES, Game Boy, and in collections, while X has damn good SNES AND PSX games, along with one decent PS2 game. |

| Also, this makes me wonder about the series
contest. I mean, it is pretty well proven that MM and Zero get smacked
around extra hard for no apparent reason whenever they face Nintendo,
so maybe Mega Man X was SFFed in the Series Contest. You know, this poll makes me wish Mega Man/Mega Man X had been a contest match. Hell, I wonder how a Mega Man/Zero rematch would go down. |

Fun Fact: 40 minutes into Mega Man/Zero in 2k4, Mega Man had 62% of the vote. The question is, has Mega Man's staying power been due to Mega Man himself, or due to the X games? Additionally, Zero tore into Mega Man after the first hour. It wouldn't surprise me to see X getting within a percent or two of 50. |

vote. I mean, the better explanation would be Zero starting smacking
around Mega Man's percentage once the board vote died out. If anything
based on the trend from 2k4, X should be running into its worst time

Well, color me surprised! For all these years I'd thought this "X is
more well-loved than MM, why does CJay never use his picture?" talk was
just another of those stats topic hogwash opinions. You know the ones,
I'm talking along the lines of "Magus is going to upset Crono because
the CT fanbase vastly prefers him; ask anyone who's played the game,
they'll agree!" But it looks like for once you guys were right... so

There's a much bigger difference between X and MM than there is between
the various Links. I mean, I kinda dislike MM, but I'd vote X over most

Yeah, considering how well it's doing today and the other poll,
Link/Mega Man, and how badly MM smoked MMX stat-wise in the Series
Contest (whether you think MMX > MM or not)...there's no question
LoZ/MMX had some SFF going on. Maybe not much, maybe a ton...hard to

I don't remember what the numbers looked like, but I'd be surprised if
there was much SFF between those two. If you weren't Zelda, Final
Fantasy, or Mario in that contest you got rocked hard. Think Metal Gear

So throwing out the votes for the other characters (they only managed
about 20%, so shouldn't be that big a deal), the results from yesterday

I'd put Squirtle and Charizard above any of them. Look at how Pikachu,
Bidoof, and Mudkip did this year and they all have haters. Nobody, not
even Pokemon haters, really hate Squirtle and Charizard. --- Demyx is better than Axel. Just like Explicit Content is better than me for winning the Guru contest. |

I am a firm believer that Pokemon benefited from the format last year
more than anything else other than L-Block. Put Mudkip one-on-one
against Luigi or Ganondorf, and he'll get destroyed. I wouldn't take
him over Pit one-on-one either. Nevertheless, I do believe that Charizard and Squirtle would both be decent low midcarders, or at the very least, above the fodder line. --- "But you have been given freedom. Freedom to be...outside." |

To be honest, I had never even heard of
Lucario before Brawl, but the only Pokemon game I ever played was Blue.

i think you guys are overrating king dedede.. the guy doesn't really
have as much appeal as meta-knight; all he literally has are kirby
games and even as a series it sucked. so he basically only has brawl. i'd put him far close to lucas than say, ivysaur. --- *is Dranze* Brawl FC: 4081-5169-8762 |
