There will be at least 100k votes left. If Link gets 4% more of them

that and he still loses. <_< Er, I meant 32% to 28%. --- Mustache...and green...Only Explicit Content is more badass than Luigi! www.rit.edu/~zmb0386/Brawl.jpg |

dragoontheguy | Posted 11/3/2007 9:55:24 PM | message detail |
Hmmm...L's first hour yesterday 46.41% and he stabilized around 32%
in the day. He's looking to be under that today, perhaps around 44-45%.
L stabilized at 32% in the day yesterday, but Link/Cloud/Snake are
better in the day than Snake/MC/Dante, even given MC's day vote. So L
could conceivably be pushed down to 28-30% during the day. Link should be at 26%, Cloud at 19%, and Snake at 11% at the end of the first hour, and by morning Link should be around that percentage. (Cloud and Snake probably get all of L-Block's percentage during the night.) L probably falls to 36% of the vote by morning - a 10% lead in this match at that time will amount to around 5000 votes. There will be at least 100k votes left. If Link gets 4% more of them than L-Block (32% to 26%)...he only makes up 4000 votes. Jeeze, all that and he still loses. <_< If L-block can build up a lead of a few more thousand votes overnight, I really don't see link coming back. It feels so wrong yet so right typing that. >_> --- sig |

What's with all the whining anyways about this result? It's a 4-way
match; L-Block finally doesn't get this far, if even past the first
round, in a 1 on 1 format. We'll go back to that, we'll see Clinkeroth winning contests every year, and then we'll live happily ever after. But certain users whining about L-Block sicken me. This match is awesome, and the fact you don't like this match makes me question whether you're a fan of this contest. Look at this passionate post from WoW: This is it guys. The final round. This is the first character battle in years that has a chance to be won by a character that isn't from Final Fantasy or the Legend of Zelda. L-Block has exploded out of nowhere and has reached the finals in his first year in the competition. The underdog, the joke, that no one thought would make it past the first round now stands against Link, Cloud, and Snake in the finals. Vote for change. Vote to make the Final Fantasy and Zelda fanboys cry! Vote L-Block! It's awesome. I'm happy for L-Block. This should go down in contest history as the best match ever. L-Block goes into the ring and knocks his three opponents to kingdom come in the first half hour. Beautiful. :-) "Clinkeroth" can have its precious trophy back after we go back to 1 on 1 format. --- New England Patriots: 8-0 Next: @ Indianapolis Colts (Sun 4:15 PM) |

What were the expectations on Mario/Cloud back in 2K2? Was Cloud really the overwhelming favorite at the time, or what? From the tiny bit I can remember, I'm pretty sure Cloud went in as the favorite, seeing as how his previous performances were so incredibly dominant (and he outdrew everyone, including Sephiroth and Link). Mario, on the other hand, looked tame in comparison, although he crushed DK pretty good. Hmm.. alright, yeah. Still we've seen linking before, and while I know
people have been against it, I don't think it's been anywhere close to
this kind of scale, but I think everyone would agree with that. It
doesn't seem the same, just because I would think Mario would have been
the favorite back then since it's friggin' Mario! (darn you 2k5). Just seems like it's not the same, but i get your point. --- Explicit Content. hungry like the wolf |

*staggers in from the outside topic* Jeez that really is terrible out
there. I have to say in general im undecided how i feel about this
result if it holds up. If any game deserves it Tetris does but still
why not be a cool block like I or something... Overall I think this
contest has been great. I mean what more could people want it has
definitely been one to remember. Im just bummed I didnt take Sonic>
Snake twice coulda made the final leaderboard... but oh well, finishing
better then like 5th to last place in the guru like I did last year
certainly marks improvement. So who dropped the ball for you this contest? MC really messed me up but if anyone let me down it was Yuna not living up to anything she did last year.
