do you know what the saddest part of this contest is for me? the wonky
scoring system combined with ******* L-Block means that my throw away
joke bracket with L-Block > Link in the finals is going to outscore
every single bracket currently on the Top 50, including EC, if and when

Its been alot more fun then watching the female bracket, it will be
interesting to see what effect this will have on predictions next year
i think. Cookies will be much rarer because this sort of rallying will

Hell, if L-Block > Link happens I'm still ahead of Hochi. None of the Cloud brackets are good enough to be much of a threat, even if L-Block pulls the upset. I honestly don't expect to see any L-Block brackets make it to the top, either. We've got a pretty good view of the field behind us on the leaderboard. Even a pick of L > Link only makes up 96 points, (ha, only) and we can see around 30 or 40 points back on there. Plus somehow I doubt many of the Block joke brackets would have Link taking second. Eh, ridiculous or not, Link or Cloud could be pulling this number easily
on this four pack. I think Link beating L-Block is the likely result,
but honestly Cloud still has a small chance here. Better than L-Block

I'm not sold on Altair if we do have another character battle first (oh
lord please don't), there's just no one we haven't seen in the contests
who I feel deserves a shot, or who I like enough that wouldn't be
complete ass-fodder. His game not even being out yet should indicate
that I guess, all I'm going off is a cool character design and the

See, I never once went in this thing with the idea that this contest
had "credibility". Between bracket votes, stuffing/rallying and fifteen
different Factors causing shifts, this contest doesn't really even
indicate who Gamefaqs likes best, much less gamers in general. And that's why I can enjoy something like L Block's long. I don't care if this contest has "credibility" or not. It's been a damn fun contest, which is what matters above all else. Exactly. Not just L Block's amazing run, either. I loved Pikachu's run, Luigi > Ganondorf, Mudkip holding close with L&G, Samus > Seph, and whatever the hell else. It's been an amazing, intense, bracket-busting contest that has had some of the wildest matches we've ever seen, as well as a potential upset of the ages leading to the ultimate Cinderella/Sanjaya story. So much wacky, insane, unpredictable things have happened that I can't see how anyone can hate this contest. It's been hilarious, awe-inspiring, and flat-out fun as hell to watch, and it's easily my favorite of all the contests. I've actually spent more time enjoying the contest than trolling the board, and for once my account has outlasted a contest. People who are concerned about "credibility" are missing the point of the freaking contest. It's about getting viewers to GameFAQs, and having some fun. And this has been fun as hell for me. --- Save the box, save the world. |

I'm not sold on Altair if we do have another character battle first

that I guess, all I'm going off is a cool character design and the
development team, I can end up hating him! You should do what I try to and try to get a character so unique and odd that it'd spark a little discussion on how well that character could do, such as Nidoran F and Matt (though they sure aren't L-Blocks). Yeah, anyone new will suck, so we might as well add something unique so there could be debate on how well they'd do. Right now I'm leaning toward trying to get someone like a Chocobo or a Moogle in, or maybe Goombario. Some sort of mascot from a famous series, anyway. But I'm gonna keep my mind open and see if I can figure out anything unique to cause debate. They'll be fodder, but at least they can be interesting fodder who might pull a couple surprises. Hell, look what happened with L Block, not that I actually believe we'll see another character come even close to L Block anytime soon. --- Save the box, save the world. |

I don't give a damn about "contest credibility," I just don't find

about it. I don't care how popular Starcraft is in South Korea or how CATS was on the cover of Time magazine, they're not nearly as recognizable as L Block. L Block's the only joke character that everyone can recognize. I mean, who hasn't played Tetris? So yeah, they'd never be even close to this. I'd say L Block takes 90% on Carrier/CATS/Tanner. CATS and Carrier get joke SFF'd and Tanner gets second based on his fierce Driv3r strength. --- Save the box, save the world. |

I'm not too keen on nominating a generic enemy or character from a
popular game for the CB. Bacon might not even let something like that
in, though granted it doesn't seem like he cared too much with this
contest, but it's still not the same. Who knows if he'll even be
willing to let people like L back in, after seeing what he did this
contest. He probably will, but I'd rather not tell everyone to nominate
something that's not even guaranteed to get in. Then there's the part
where I wouldn't want to see something like that in a contest even if
it could get in, call me boring if you like. My goal is to nominate
someone who could potentially make things interesting and spark some
discussion though. What's peoples thoughts on another FF7 character,
and who would you most like to see nominated from it, if I did pick

Cid and Barret would both get anti-voted (and rightfully so). So would Yuffie and Cait Sith. If anyone gets in, it is Rufus or Reno. So I think we pass on that. <_< Now, if we were to nominate Seymour on the other hand, that would be a worthy choice. =o |

Not generic ones, you could nominate Boco from one of the 500 games
he's in, Mog from FF6, etc. Hell, Mog might actually do something and
could even be stronger than Kefka. I don't see Bass doing much, but then again Protoman never got a chance to do anything anyway, so who knows? --- Save the box, save the world. |

So I haven't read this topic yet, but L-Block is the clear favorite
over Cloud tomorrow right? I find that pretty off-putting. So
ridiculous. I worked out x-stats for this match based on Snake at 40%, and they put L-Block at 48.5% on Link. But last round L-Block was only at 40.5% on Link.
