Cloud/Sephiroth with over 38% now 25 minutes in.....they should rise a
lot more than Seph/Vincent did last round though, so Cloud probably
won't end up looking too bad. If Cloud/Sephiroth SFF is more severe
than Link/Samus SFF, perhaps Cloud will get a greater share of
Sephiroth's votes also? We're already about 400 votes ahead of yesterday's pace as far as vote totals go- perhaps caused by voters staying for the close of yesterday's match. I believe FFVII/OOT got off to a tremendous start in terms of votals, due to being right after CT/LTTP, but by the end of the day, FFVII/OOT votals were actually lower than CT/LTTP votals. --- 8/30/03. yeah, he probably does hurt Link more, at least in the early going. here's a probable result with the BOP bracket: Link - 40% Cloud - 25% Snake - 20% Sonic - 15% now it'll look like this: L-Block - 38% Link - 25% Cloud - 20% Snake - 17% but after that early vote? it's probably even. --- "The idea of rallying for Solid Snake against a Tetris block is both disgusting and necessary. *goes*" -Karma Hunter |

Samus is going to end up looking better than anticipated, but I'm
waiting a bit to see how far she drops -- it should be pretty big. Cloud is going to have to rely on LLLF - L-block Leeching Link Factor - to win :) i fully support this factor and would like to see it happen imho --- "With each passing day, the world finds new and exciting ways to kill a man." |

Eh, I actually don't think it's just the board vote L-Block hurts Link
in. I think L-Block will decimate the "old school" vote. And the only
one that's a possibility to be hurt by that is Link. Not Cloud, not

I'm honestly not convinced L Block hurts Link more than Cloud... Squall
did surprisingly poor yesterday and you know, Kirby held up pretty well
against Block. Honestly, we'll have to wait until the final because

L-Block should logically have overlap with Nintendo, if he has overlap with anything. There's no real reason to think he'll hurt Link more than Cloud, but it's a wildcard. Also, I'm starting to think he as a legit shot at #2 there, which I was thinking was almost impossible. Still don't see it happening - Cloud is getting 30%, he should get more than that in the final with Sephiroth gone...but what if L-Block's votes really are "untouchable", which I've been dubious of? Then Cloud's percent may actually not increase much, if at all, and L could finish ahead of him. But would FF7 voters really vote a joke character...? I really, really hope that in the presence of Cloud, Link and Snake/MC,
L-block just crumbles. I'm pretty sure he's a few leagues under
Clinkeroth still, but if he starts pulling crazy 30%~ crap in that
match it's going to feel like the final match was a sham no matter

well, let's say L holds his 28%. unlikely? who knows at this point. that leaves 72% for Link/Cloud/Snake. we've seen that match before..
